Default Acer Aspire 7720G Monitor Won't Display. - 08-20-2009, 11:38 | posts: 1

Hi, I have the above notebook listed in my title box above.

The laptop is working fabulously, no hitches at all. The only thing is that the monitor on the laptop keeps going off by itself after a while, I have tried all the keys for screen brightness, toggle display between monitors, sleep etc.
checked and uptdated the drivers which are all done. The monitor works when it is plugged into external display which I am using now to write this message.

However, I was returning to the uk mainland sometime ago, was in the room on the ferry, I left the room for various reasons, leaving my laptop switched on with battery on performance mode, but ontop on the quilt, so I guess there was no ventilation underneath!!!. I am aware that this does the machine no good at all. but the problems started there really. The screen was switched off upon my return to the room about 1 hr later.
I did however, think that there would be such a thing that prevents your machine from overheating due to sill mistakes like the one I done.

I have a Nvidia Geforce 9500m GS 512m inside the latop, if this is any use to anyone.

Can someone please help me with my enquiry, as I am frustrated to hell wit this thing, and cant get anything done with it unless I am in external mode.

Thanks,
Regards,

Soyas.
