Default ATT and GTA IV - 03-17-2009, 09:58 | posts: 12 | Location: South Wales

Hi there.

I have recently purchased GTA IV and have played a few missions and everything looked fine. I loaded it up again this morning and when I left my safe house, it was night time and the textures went all dark and it was hard to see anything. Where they was shading on the character it was completely black. This did not happen yesterday when I was playing.

After half hour tweaking various settings the only thing that would put it back to normal was to close ATT. I looked on the web and and installed the latest version of ATT (1.6.9.1382) but this has made no difference.

I have a standard profile setup with textures and mipmaps set at high quality. I tried reducing them but with no luck.

I dont seem to have any difficulties with any other games, just GTA IV. BTW GTA is patched to the latest version and i made no system changes bewtween when the game was running fine last night and when I tried to play it this morning.

Any ideas? I know it is a bit strange how it worked yesterday but not today, but the only link to the problem seems to be ATT.

Disable the onscreen display inside ATT tools, see if that helps. Messed mine up having it enabled.
