Default Windows XP x64 nVidia and ATI cards? - 12-05-2008, 07:18 | posts: 144 | Location: Argentina

Hi, i know this has be discussed for Vista x64 aand is not possible, but what about XP 64? i been trying to get both to work but is not posible... Using Catalyst 8.12 Beta for the 4670 and 180.60 Beta for the GF8300 onboard, Windows just restarts when is about to show up the welcome screen, i can use then separetly just fine, both thogether it dont work...

Any ideas? i also moded the oficial 180.48 WHQL using the 180.60 inf to be able to install the GF8300 witch 180.48 drivers but is the same thing...

Why don't you try to add the nVidia installation file entries to the ati.inf? So it will install from within the ati inf all at once? I'm willing to help here if you're willing to test it? I could try to make a special DNA-ATi package with support for a nVidia card/physX card, something like a hybrid install (if this works)

yes of course, Physx is not my main intention, but i could give it a try, this thing has 16 shadders processors running at 1500mhz... it wort a try...

But the order in what the drivers are installed dont change anything... something is making conflicts bethen them... i was already able to use both on XP 32... but no idea of why i cant in XP 64...
