Default Physx problem - 09-14-2008, 17:43 | posts: 43

Hello to all,

I'm trying to setup my friends computer so that he can use his old 8500Gt as a physx card and a newer 9600Gt as primary display. The problem is that the physx panel is not giving me the option to select which graphics card to use as physx, so I assume its using the 9600GT. I have downloaded the latest drivers being 15.23 for his nforce 650 sli, 177.98 for graphics drivers and physx driver 08.08.18. Can you please help me on how to make the 8500Gt as a physx card?

Which tab in Physx Properties are you in? Make sure your not looking @ the first tab that says "No Ageia Physx card installed" make sure your in the Gforce physx tab. Everyone is getting confused, thinking that Physx isn't working properly because of that message, but you don't have an ageia physx card installed, your using Gforce Physx acceleration. Let me know if this is not what's going on.

I'm in the settings tab. Geforce physx is enabled but there is no option to select which card.

Nm you're in the right place. Boot into safe mode, uninstall the drivers, use driver sweeper. Reinstall. That's the best advice I have for you.
