With MGS4 just a little under a month away from release i'll be getting a 40GB PS3 when i next get paid from work,i have two starting titles i'm interested in getting (Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank) and i was just wondering is there any other titles worth considering that the PS3 offers right now? I don't have much experience with the console apart from a few playthroughs with a friend's 60GB model and he doesn't use it much anymore.
Also just two other questions:
1.What do you think of the console overall ?(features, design, games, etc).
2.Dual Shock 3 (what do you think of it and is it better than the sixasis?).
Bear in mind this is the first Sony Console i've owned since 1998 since my PSone kicked the bucket(i've rented a PS2 a few times off a friend but that really isn't owning something) so i feel kind of newbish asking questions like this but ah well.
Anyway thanks.
Kirk

The analogs feel better on the DS3 and the DS3 is a tank, now. It's so sturdy.

I picked up my ps3 simply because it was a blue ray player and the same price as a,, uh,, blue ray player.
Turned out to be a really good blue ray with ethernet downloaded firmware updates (lots of blue ray players will go out of date when the newer format hits,, then the next, etc). Plus the dvd up-scaling is the best Ive seen yet in person.
So far games are few and far between. Ive probably played the LoccoRocco (a 7$ downloadable game) game more than any other. But the girlfriend loves ratchet & clank, lol. The exclusive ps3 titles will be worth it I suppose.
As far as the controller, I do miss the dual shock, but I love the lightweight design. Its as easy to hold as,, well, an original playstation controller, I prefer it now.
Hope this helped a bit.
