Unhappy Strange problem w/ transparent textures (x1950xtx/winxp) - 12-27-2007, 07:19 | posts: 9

Hi everyone!
I'm having this strange problem with some transparent textures that affect almost every game... They don't react to light and seem to have clipping issues.
The thing is that it doesn't happen with Vista drivers, only in XP, and I've tried all drivers that support my card (from 6.12 to 7.12).
What's even stranger is that this issue is random, sometimes it just doesn't happen. When it doesn't happen I get about 12/18 FPS increase!
7.2 drivers seemed to have this problem less frequently, but it happened today again and it doesn't go away!
I think it's some setting my pc or the drivers are switching and saving in the registry (already tried those driver-cleaners).
Any suggestions?

Like in this game, I get 40 fps, should be getting at least 60.

PC SPECS: Intel Core Duo E6300, X1950XTX PCIE (512 ddr4), 2Gb DDR2, Mainboard is a Gigabyte ( realtek hd audio)
