Default Toshiba Satellite P100 / Game Issue - 12-06-2007, 12:06 | posts: 4 | Location: London

Hi mates,
I have tried for long time now but I can't make my Laptop (Core 2Duo / T5500 / 2GB RAM / Vista 32bit / nvidia go 7600) to run Counter Strike Source properly or any other 3d game (tried also need for speed underground and prince of persia the two thrones).
The issue is a kind of lag each 5 seconds.
The fps goes down e I get a sort of ping spike.
My machine should be more than enough to run CS:S, I hope someone can help me on this.
I'm about to give up on 3d games
Cheers guys.

If you haven't reformatted your computer when you got it, I would recommend you try it now..

Also, you can get the latest Nvidia drivers for your GPU at laptopvideo2go.com/forum

Now that I think about it, it could also be related to something overheating. Use SpeedFan/Core Temp and Rivatuner to monitor your CPU and GPU temps.

Cheers guys.
I tried reformating my machine before, and also tried that with windows xp instead of vista.
got the same issue.

I don't think its overheating because I just swich that on and play and the problem is there yet.

There is something I think its weired, when I check the devices manager my laptop show 2 different processors, one t5500 and one more powerfull kind of t74 something.
Could it be the problem somehow?

Cheers
