RivaTuner and changing voltage (on ATi card)

Like the title suggests, is there any way to change and set the voltage on my X1900XT card with rivatuner?

I only ask because I use Vista x64 and no other program can load with Vista x64 except rivatuner (without pressing F8). But I can't seem to find an option to change the voltage (I can read the voltage, but not change it). I have to manually set the voltage so I can force my video card to use it's 3D clock speeds and not 2D clock speeds (I fold with this card and since it's not a fullscreen application the 3D clock speeds don't kick in). If I set the 3D clock speeds with the 2D voltage the computer will lock up (so I have to set the voltage manually). Thanks!

You won't find these options in GUI. I purposely don't make them available for regular users, and never will do it - there are more than enough noobs here first clicking all buttons/dragging all sliders then complaining that RT hurted their PC.

However, PowerUsers have full access to GPU registers via command line interface. Everything (including voltages) can be tuned this way. If you're power user, you may easily find voltage conrtroller's I2C devices, registers and VID->Voltage mappings in RivaTuner's diagnostic report (ATI VGA BIOS Information section). Then simply write desired VID to voltage controller's register via CLI using /wi (Write I2C) command.

That's what I figured, only for PowerUsers. I'll try this method later tonight while I wait for the new version of ATi Tool. I think you should at least consider adding voltage control in the GUI for x19x0 cards though, it's pointless to overclock on these boards without voltage control (unless if you use overdrive).

Also, signed ATITool will be available for x64 pretty soon too. So if CLI is too complex for you - simply wait for new ATITool version.

Is it also as critical to undervolt the GPU?
