i have the Asus Striker Sound Card from SoundMAX and everything is in 5.1 mode but sound doesnt come out my side speakers..

i've tryed everything i could think of...

anyone know how i could make sound come out my side speakers..?

Are you sending 5.1 material to your "card"? I mean, if you play a 2.0 MP3 you will not get surround unless your "card" has upmix. Try a DVD and see if this give you 5.1 it should if it is a 5.,1 DVD and the software is set properly.
Also, make sure your back speakers are in the proper jacks.

yeah but before on my A8N32-SLi 2.0 mp3 where all playing in my 5 speakers... not only the left and right with this one... :S

I give up after long try... i buy a sound card... ASUS got a lot of problem with integrated sound (search in google and see!!!) get only stereo with integrated sound chip...

same for me but one day it began to get only in stereo... as i told you forum are full of problem like tis on ASUS mobo buy a good ols soundblaster you won't regret (exept on vista lol)

nah i dont need a sound card... money to waste for nothing lol....i tryed one on my 2nd pc and didnt see a difference from intergraded and the X-FI sound card... lol

with good speakers and amp is like day and night (focal elektra speakers + Harman Kardon Amp and decoder) i don't regert my choise sound card are much better than most integrated chipset.

your not gonna tell that much if you use cheap speakers.like if you using some montior speakers or some 10 dollar speakers. you get the idea. Because I tell when I went from my A2zs to a xFi.
