Default Force Asus X1950 Pro to display 1400x1050@60Hz - 01-26-2007, 19:42 | posts: 1

Hi,

I've a problem with my new HTPC. I'd like to force the grafic card to display a true 1400x1050@60Hz resolution (even if the connected tft has a lower native max resolution - 1280x1024 in its EDID). This worked flawless with my old system (Radeon 9700 Pro, Catalyst v05.3, WinXP SP1, Powerstrip 3.59 b505). But when I try to make my new system (Catalyst v07.1, WinXP SP2, Powerstrip 3.73) act the same way, only the desktop area changes, so that I have to move the desktop to see all its content.

I'd be thankful for any hint to force the system to accept a real 1400x1050@60Hz resolution with ATi Tray Tools.
