I have it and I'm satisfied with it. I like the sound quality very much. I heard it's pretty much the same as an Audigy 2, I forgot what the small difference is. I'm not sure how much CPU power it saves though. But ti looks like you already have an Audigy 2...so why are you looking at the Audigy 2 value?

Have a look here,
http://us.creative.com/products/prod...07&nav=compare
Only real differences between the 2 Value and the 2ZS is a slight lower SNR, no firewire/gold-plated connectors and hardware DTS support.

I use the Audigy 2 value and it's a great card for the price. You can also use KX drivers with this card, which is a added bonus.

here these are UFX modules, installed on the KX driver Set.
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=194705
these were originally running on my SB Live! in this pic, and your AUdigy 2 has twice the DSP resources of the live! so you can load twice as many modules...so you can have a 5 band parametric eq on your fronts and rears or a 10 band Eq...the options are endless...NO EAX...the driver does not support it. The sound quality is better than creative drivers. if you decide to use them let me know. I will be making a KX getting started guide and sticking it to the forum but it's not ready yet.. BTW I am more nto great sound and audio type applications so that's why I am running two KX caompatible cards...lots of modules to play with..awsome sound.

The XP project give BETTER sound period. Of course it's a preference thing about EAX if you truly like it in your games then you may want to pass on the drivers..but that is no reason to not try them out first. I still play games with KX and still has pretty wicked sound...

WWW.kxproject.com..these are not made by Creative and they sound alot better than Creative but you will lose your EAX in games...so it's up to you if you want to use them. Also they require some learning and they have a learning curve to them-meaning they are tricky to figure out at the beginning..not all modules look like those I linked you to though...those are UFX modules but your inluck because they were just released for the current drivers set..if sound quality is your things then these are the drivers for you..follow the instructions...pay particular attention to the swap speakers option...you must change jacks on the PC..move the front plug to the rear jack and vice versa..this sound wierd but is required.

With these KX drivers what do you do with the old creative drivers?? Do you just use driver cleaner and install the KX drivers?? I want to try them but don't want any driver issues after installing these KX.

just use add/remove programs to pull out your stock drivers and use driver cleaner to get what's left..then install the kx pack..BTW expect to do some reading and playing to learn to use these drivers...THey have a steep learning curve. But if you have any issue I can help...enjoy.

tried to use them but after install I rebooted and it came up with a yellow question mark for a Multimedia Audio controller driver. Tried to point it to the KX Project folder but no dice. Am I doing something wrong with the install?? Really want to give these a shot.

Usually when I install them I remove the Creative drivers and install the KX project drivers...you get to the point that it asks if you would like to install the driver and click yes..some times people miss that part..

you just uninstall the creative drivers .. reboot and click the kx35.37 setup ... it will detect "Emu10K" device ...
Did you use DC?? i've read some where that using DC on creative drivers sometimes messes things up .....
and regarding kX .. just wait till you get the hang of its DSP . I had hours of fun experimenting with various plugins .... if you are a sound junkie forget EAX...(i actually had a dual boot of xp for sometime , one with kX and other with creative for EAX in games ... )
