I just got my new DVD player installed. I have never had a dvd player/dvdrw before. I got it from newegg and it didnt come with dvd player software. Where can I download one for free?

WinDVD gets bundled with deluxe versions of motherboards a lot and i kinda like the TruePal option of playing 24FPS movies natively.

Media Player Classic has a built in DVD codec, and is also a very small download (only one .exe)

Yes, to play DVD movies you will need a player

by DVD player he meant DVD ROM on PC?

course you need a player..but WMP10 is enough..right? i watch using WMP11 though

re:purevideo, well it got an nvidia ICON when playing DVDs and it makes me feel good..lols

seriously i cant see much of a diff but yeah its better..it got to be or else its just a waste of money

lols dont worry vinnie..i dled it too..lols
by saying it as a waste of money i was refering to those who bought it for $20 bucks

but even if you bought it, itd be worth it esp if you got high end monitor..as for my 17" viewsonic CRT, i can, but barely see the diff

seeing the OP has an ATI card thoiugh, it wouldnt be of help to him..lucky him he got AVIVO which i think comes for free..unike purevideo which doesnt

I have a 20" monitor Sony Trinitron Multiscan 300SF
I must say, I can see some difference
