Default Sony Bravia 46" 1080p + HTPC - 06-14-2006, 18:22 | posts: 2 | Location: Spain

Hi!
I'm gonna build a Bravia 1080p + HTPC system. I want to display windows at 1920x1080 on that LCD...
Should I buy the new HDCP MSI 7600GT VGA card for getting this resolution without problem (HD clips, HD sat,games...)??

Can I use other VGA without HDCP?

I want to connect trought HDMI (using a DVI-HDMI cable)in order to get the max PQ.

Thank you.

do you mean this card?
that will have no problem outputting a 1920*1080 image to your screen. i dont know anything about the screen, but if its got hdcp, you have to have an hdcp signal to have full res i think.
btw, if the tv has a dvi input, no need for a dvo-hdmi cable, they got about the same iq.

Yes. Is the NX7600GT-VT2D256E-HD (with HDCP eprom). But I don`t know if the HDCP from VGA is active only when it detects a HD-DVD or Blue Ray film through BD-ROM for example.

But in order to see pictures, clips from internet or only the windows desktop at 1920x1080p, is HDCP needed??

no idea really, but it would seem a bit silly to me.
