Default Alcohol Problems - 01-11-2006, 21:15 | posts: 1,642 | Location: Austin TX

My brother had alcohol 120 installed and had 6 virtual drives enabled. We forgot he was using a cracked exe file so when we uninstalled it the 6 virtual drives turned into physical drives that can't be used but show up in my computer. We have tried reinstalling it the uninstalling it but they are still there. Now some images work and some don't. Now I don't want any "well you shouldn't use cracked stuff" sorta replies. Advice on how to fix this problem would be much more appreciated.

You should of disabled them before uninstalling Alcohol, then you wouldn't have the problem.

So, either install it again and remove them, then get rid of it, or I think you can just remove the drives from the Device Manager.

And for future reference, don't ask here for help on cracked software.

Re: How to manually uninstall Alcohol 120%?
1. Run "regedit"
2. Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}", then delete that.
3. Find "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE112 6B64A90E8365B85CFCF6", then delete that.

Now, to remove Alcohol driver you need to go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es here you should fínd the Keys for the Alcohol Driver in the current version, a347bus and a347scsi, delete these Keys and remove corresponding files from Windows\System32\Drivers folder.

Check C:\windows\program Files\Alcohol Soft and delete the folder. Re-boot your PC.
btw ... daemon tools is a better option if you ask me .................

Yea, well, that's good that you fixed it.

I just wanted to say that the title of the thread was kinda funny. LOL, alcohol problems. That gave me a chuckle.
