Hey, people,
for the most part, my KyroII works great, but the only prob I have is in Unreal Tournament and games based on such an engine(Deus Ex,Undying, etc.). At random times, but almot guaranteed each time I play, the video'll sorta stop responding. It kinda plays the last half second of video over and over, but the game is still running, so I can still save it and stuff, move around, whatever. Sometimes the video will start working again, but thats a rarity, and even when it does, some textures, especially in game text, screws up pretty bad, as well as most textures in Windows. I emailed teksupport, told me to do a buncha things I already had done, and I have the latest PowerVR drivers. I'm on Windows98 SE, anyone had a similiar or the same problem? I'd really like to find a solution to this, it's not a huge problem, but a major inconvenience. Thanx

yeah i get the same problems. after a while of playing, the game locks up momentarily, and then starts again. it becomes more frequent, until the point where the game freezes altogether. i have all the latest drivers for chipset (via kt133A) and for card, and have toyed around with bios settings to no avail. i'm also running 98se, if that helps ppl to get a better idea...
anyway, any help is appreciated
maybe we can figure this whole thing out eh?
I got 304megs of RAM, and DX1112fm, latest version. I'm on a Biostar M7VKB v2.1, latest via4-in-1 drivers, and the latest Award BIOS version. I also tried messin around in the cmos, but theres really no difference between what I've tried and what Hercules says everything should be set to. I think it may be a Direct3D problem, I tried OpenGL in DX, but that was before I got the latest PowerVR drivers, maybe I'll try that out, see if it helps

Actually, I've tried the Kyro2 with 64, 96, 112, 256,320, and now 304, never made a difference with this problem

the only things I can think of is your ram, and software.
It may be the mixed types of ram, but you say you tried pulling it.

other than that, is the hdd light on when it does this??

I actually never hooked the hdd light up, when I was puttin this thing together.I was using the motherboard instructions, which, btw are drawn upside down, so after I got juice to the board I left it at that, but like I said, it just seems to be the video that stops working, and only, I can still minimize it and stuff

No, I don't even really play it that much, never dug the game, so I uninstalled it, I got it box'd with my X-Gamer, and only played it to see what Tactical Ops was like. DX is my main concern, but it does only seem to be with that engine, although I don't play anyother games using it
