Default can you put mp3 files onto a dvd-r disc 2 play in mp3 disc player? - 10-17-2005, 05:08 | posts: 828

I currently own a car that has an MP3 player..meaning that you can burn a disc with mp3 files on it and the cd player in the car will read the mp3 music

now a regular CD-R can hold about 185 mp3's

a dvd-r disc could hold ALOT more....

SO you think the mp3 disc player in my car could possibly read a DVD-R with mp3 files on it???

anybody try it?

thanks...

The laser beam that reads a cd is different to the one that reads a dvd, they are made for different mediums and are not compatible.
A computer dvd-rom can adjust the beam to read either, but on portable electronics that is not yet possible.
