Default Vcore mod (up to 1.55V) for the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 - 09-22-2005, 20:32 | posts: 4,363 | Location: Omicron Persei Windows 8 Pro WMC

Here's the mod: http://www.ocworkbench.com/2005/asro...emodguide2.htm

After the modding, you'll have to change the voltage to 1.150V within the bios to get 1.55V.

Here's an actual picture and it's quite simple.

Interesting this board is the 1 im interested in buying for the agp/pci-E beifits but i am also interested in overclocking hopeing to get a 3200 venice.

Is it 1.450v for the core tops before the mod? will this be necesary for me to hit 2.5ghz ? but hay that mod doesnt look to dangerous so if not possible to get those frequencies then i would try the mod but not right away.

I can reach 2.7Ghz with this board, but that would be very unstable. That's why i'm running @ 2.5Ghz atm with my A64 3200 Venice E6, so 2.5Ghz would be possible with 1.450V yes. I haven't done the mod myself............yet.

Thats awesome. You pointed that board out to me in another thread... wow i'm soooo tempted to get it now!

Only the 1.150 corresponds to 1.5 volts right. What do the other bios settings correspond to? the stock temps? or do they get notched up too?

edit: pfft! just read diagram... lol i take it back

in the table the red is the bios setting the green is the volts when modded so thats between 1.475 and 1.550.

Its good news it reaches 2.5ghz without the mod i just hope when i get 1 i get a decent overclocking cpu and memory.

Prime stable and is max stable oc. It's possible to let it run @ 2.7Ghz, but that's highly unstable.
