And can I still have a good performance working with MAYA 6 even if I have a low ugs score?

Just don't turn the "smooth wireframe" option in the "shading" viewport menu and you should be fine.
Also, make sure you have set "Maya / Studio Tools" in the Custom OpenGL Applications Setting in the OpenGL settings panel, since you need hardware overlays for Maya Artisan.

just one more question, will i need to follow the tips in case I'm luck to have high ugs score?

If you get high UGS, your antialiased wireframe performance should be fine since you will not expirience a huge drop in performance by enabling it.
And for the second tip (OpenGL Applications setting) you should have that set no matter what - you need that setting to have good performance in Maya.
