No matter what I do I cannot get the RAM to run above 2133 MHz :-( . Running with a .5 multiplier changes nothing either. So I guess I will just have to wait for a new BIOS.

    Regarding Aida64 :
If you haven't already, then please submit the report it asks for, that way it will be optimized for Ryzen a lot faster..

oztalks released a video that shows ryzen getting a good bump on fps when the ram is running at 2933 mhhz instead of 2133 and with smt off giving it a bump about 10% on average fps is anyone here able to do this test also ?

I have a different set of RAM coming (tomorrow hopefully) to see if it will run at higher than 2133. I bought a set that's on the manufacturer compatibility list this time, so if it will boot at higher settings I will post some comparison benchmarks for sure. :)

    ** Updates for today March 17 , 2017 **

Checked and verified every motherboard latest Bios available. Updated all the Motherboards with latest Bios release. Lots of improvements on the latest Bios released.

I'm doing some tweaking , editing and finishing touches for the overclocking guides ( CPU and Memory ) that i will be posting soon. I'm doing last minute testing in memory overclocking and timings. I will keep you guys updated in the progress.

Is your CPU still overclocked?? It needs to be on its base settings to get the RAM speed higher with our board and the 0504 bios. Default your BIOS settings then go through the steps i gave in my last post. Works for me everytime.

If not, then its your RAM modules.

It's OC'ed. I will try on default settings.

Looking through the Event Viewer I think there still is a lot of improvements to be made.

Performance power management features on processor 0 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.

On every boot there is 16 of those entries in the Event Viewer :)

Apples to Apples, its marginal at best :)
    http://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/1393310/spy/1393395

The left has DDR4 clocked in at 3200Mhz, the right is 2133Mhz

NOTE: SMT is not disabled. I dont know what the name of the setting is under the ASUS BIOS

Yeah, thats your issue. You will only be able to achieve approx 3.8Ghz CPU overclock with ram set to anything above 2133.

    Hope that helps.

5.9% on cpu score is not that trivial i would love to see some games also :)

Thats true enough Venix, most people would be happy with a 5%+ overclock improvement lol.

Let me try with a few game engines that have built in benchmark runs and i'll let you know what the difference is in semi-synthetic :)

So, a little confusing looking at the results, but here they are non the less :p

    Dreadnought 106.506fps @ 3200
    Dreadnought 98.481fps @ 2133

    Dirt Rally 97.05fps @ 3200
    Dirt Rally 104.58fps @ 2133

Dreadnought only lists one final fps, not sure if its max or average.
Dirt Rally readings are average fps

These were ran at 2560x1080 with Ultra settings

Interesting that i got better performance from dirt rally with everything on stock :)

So I got it going at 2933 MHz with 18-18-18-42 timing

Currently testing for stability. Then I will try to lower timings ... already tried going to 16 - 16 - 16 - 40 once ..had to clear CMOS. But as far as I can tell, I get 10000 MB/s more bandwidth with these timings compared to 2133 MHz with 15-15-15-36 timings.

    EDIT
    Or maybe it's just 5000 MB/s can't remember.

Just thought would post this here if anyone was interested in what their ram timings are programmed at in the SPD and what the full IC ids are.

    Decent program (free version too)

I simply put my 1800x to 4.1ghz and there it stays. Temp readings are messed up. Corsair 110i is showing in it's own thingie that the temps are 28 celsius. But BIOS is just "ye it's 60". Got ram to 2666 and there it shall stay for awhile.

Shows how similar the 1800X and 1700X is, course the 1800X is a better silicon and will overclock better. I was able to get my 1700X to 4050 before stability issues on auto voltage. Decided to just roll her back to 4000 and see how she performed.

Can't get my RAM to run at D.O.C.P. but am getting some decent timings at 2933 so far. Started at Chispys 18-18-18-42 and have tightened the timings 2 times so far and has been stable. Going to try to tighten once more but think I might be getting near the end.

Kinda new at this memory OC so any suggestions are welcome.
