Really is that all it takes to make someone proud of their country? Perhaps someone should have told Alex Salmond then he could have saved making himself look a bit of an idiot whilst debating with Darling. Walk on stage with a Palestinian, stand there like a boss then walk off and watch the Scots vote Yes in droves...

If I was Scottish, I'd be proud of single malt whisky makers. Or the beautiful landscapes. Or the beautiful people you meet in Scotland. Some of my good mates are Scottish, from around Glasgow. All RAF guys.

I would not be proud of some flag waving.

I'm a Scot and not in favour of pointless flag symbolism. However, I'm also not in favour of the misinformed spouting guff about political debates they know nothing about. Scottish independence has nothing to do with all of this so shoosh.

I'm sorry it has come to this, but unfortunatly it is a result of multiple users not being able to argue with out flaming and insulting other members. Moderating this section takes more time than any other part of the forum, which to me is the opposite way round.

So.. instead of sending pm's/warnings, mods and admins of this section will close any war & oil threads without warning. Political threads and other border line issues may also be closed without warning.

There will be no argument of this decision. Any gross infringements of any of the above will most likely result in an automatic ban.

Again, I'm sorry these actions have had to be made, but you have left us with no feasible alternative.
