Seems to me people are babbling here as well! Why do you close my thread? Did you stop to think that maybe people also wanted to talk about the framerates? Conversations about performance comparisons with other X800 Pro owners could've came up as well. I'm working with an X800 Pro tonight and I would've like to discuss my findings with SL2, Lobofrag and other X800 Pro owners. This is what we do here at Guru3d before you showed up and after! We discuss technical matters. Seems like we have a mod with a napoleon complex and a bit of an attitude problem. I'm shocked Hilbert made you a mod considering the fact that you were once BANNED, posted a ridiculous computer description in your spec box which was some crap about "No specs due to the state of the forums" I believe, and have 1098 post in the spam thread to achieve ancient guru status. Then again, I can't be too shocked you were made a mod because you definitely kissed Hilbert's butt enough! I could go on and on but your folliness actions aren't worth the text to type. I don't like your actions nor do I like people who throw their weight around! It appears you like to throw stones from a house made of glass! I'm sure you'll run to Hilbert, delete this post or ban me yourself if you have the authority, which is expected. I will now back away from the keyboard and take a break. hmm dunno man, i think i was expecting waaay too much outta the x800. probably save my $$$ and wait for something really really good.
Anyone got any shots from an XT yet? Though i guess they wont look much different. Is far cry playable looking that good fps wise?
X800XT will look identical, just better performance for the quality settings. Yes, FarCry is very playable at those settings.
people still play cs? lol id like to see that hl2 alpha in 1600x1200 full aa/af (the fps looked pretty good for the previous hl2 shots) and maybe the stalker alpha with some big res's. but you dont have do as these alphas arent technically legal lol.
The stones and the sand looks lovely, but I cant help feeling the statue looks ugly like that, and the mud is ugly too imho... Love the stones tho - imagine that ingame - wow
Pitty Crytek didn't impliment this effect in the game to begin with as it runs on any PS2.0 card. I believe it's the same effect that was shown at the NV40 launch. Would be great if it is because that means we get it with the next FarCry update. Map is an 'example only' by a first time mapper. The idea was to produce a demo environment of the types of effects achievable [Plus he doesn't claim to be good at it, lol] .
well i kinda dont like the rocks. looks like someone glossed them all up. since when does a rock shine? didnt think so.
