Click on the link below, it will first bring on the world map. Then a few seconds later, hundreds of little aircraft will appear. Click on any one of these, and look over to the left of the screen, it will give you the name of the airline, flight number, type of a/c, registration, from & to, altitude and track, and even the squak code. http://www.flightradar24.com/ frightening how many are up there.:nerd::nerd: [/IMG]
Idk air traffic control sounds like easy job, just a bit too much responsibility. Some people go crazy over time and commit suicide, but that variate from person to person.
It's amazing how many aircraft are flying over the US east coat at any given time. And when I clicked on link it didn't show the Globe like you stated - it took me directly over the Mid Atlantic region where I live. It must be linked in with the Google spy network to do that...lol
I've used this for years. Oh and ATC isn't easy. I have friends who are current ATCs or have been and I can tell you it's very demanding. I've looked into it myself as a career choice, seems very mentally draining.
Check out the cockpit view guys! I've watched 4 planes land. Fascinating! It uses Google earth to simulate the view.
Heh! I use this for a living. Also Flightaware. It's fun to play with jets for a living but not as prosperous as I had hoped lol, anyway, good site. I just hate seeing it on my day off.
That's really amazing to see what's going on in the sky directly above me, and being able to see where each plane is coming from or going, as well as the fact that the flight paths are being constantly updated Thanks very much for posting this link.
