a highly optimized 780 rig (like -Tj-'s for ex.) would net you a few more thousand points. minimum is good though no doubt.
I have updated the AMD spreadsheet with stock and overlocked GPU Dazz I5 4590 MSI Gamer R9 290 G4 2560x1080 29.3/12.0 6414 47.0/14.1 10332 48.4/14.4 10603 3.4GHz Dazz I5 4590 MSI Gamer R9 290 G4 2560x1080 31.9/13.7 7021 51.8/15.8 11386 53.5/16.3 11760 59.4/13.7 13067 3.4GHz 1100/1400MHz
Well if I go with Zoomer-fodder screen and min fps then I say cpu core count doesnt matter much, as long as it has at least 8 threads.. I mean @720p 6core @ 4.7ghz & 38fps and then milamber with 4core @ 4.3ghz? cpu scores much better 52fps, but milamber does have a 980GTX in it and anyone with 980GTX so far had above 50fps, most ~ 55-60ish fps. OR could be both 980gtx & windows 7 thing, I see milamber has win7 too. Agent-A01 could you run it on your 6core Haswell and Titan? :nerd: EDIT: Tested win7 compatibility in win8.1 @1215mhz OC and made it worse. Now I got min 41fps and overall lost 3000 points, disabled compatibility back to min ~50.7fps.. This min fps happens only by one particular part and only for a split second. Its at end inside the cave by that scorpion, its when focusing from bellow and has a overview of the cave/crater hole above.. I think they did that on purpose, what ever it is @ this spot. c1:
I7 4790K stock with 2xR9 290, official and 4k results.. Gpu utilisation is around 50%-75% most of the time.(blame the physx)
Here is mine, SLI GTX970's @ 1500Mhz Core & 8000Mhz Mem. CPU@5Ghz. Wanted to ask you lot if you also experience GPU usage drops in certain areas as low as 40-45% for a few sec and then back up to 95-98%. I didn't check if my CPU was also dropping in usage but that is my next step. Just wondering if users with 6 core 12 threads and 8 core 16 threads also experience this. 1080p 4xMSAA
Read through the whole thread - you'll see that we mentioned that at those points your CPU is pegging out - that's why the guys with 6/8 core machines are scoring so much higher.
Thanks for that, I was seeing that after going back and reading some posts. Well upgrading this year anyway to atleast 8 core 16 thread Intel CPU all new platform DDR4 etc.
Actually its not that, its pure gpu compute OC limit by min fps (@ 720p ranked), check @ looniam score with a 780Ti @1250mhz, he gets min 60fps with 3770K.. 780Ti has still some compute muscle left, at that OC 5.6tflops for sure, stock 980gtx what ~ 5.2tflops, 970GTX max oc ~ 5tflops, just like my 780GTX @ 1200mhz..
That may be part of it - but I noticed my CPU hit 100% for a while on the bench and my CPU temps went higher than any gaming session I've had. I monitor all my temps and usage via my keyboard LCD so it's easy to see everything in realtime.
Laptop GTX680m 4GB Thought I'd throw a few in just for reference i7 3610 with auto cpu oc aa 4x 1920x1200 avg 22.5 min 11.8 4918 aa none 1920x1200 avg 34.2 min 18 7489 aa none 1280x720 avg 56 min 20 12109
Definitely makes more sense, thnx TJ. I never had any bottleneck with my highly overclocked CPU so I was really skeptic on the gpu usage drops at always the exact same areas.
for the record: i have no idea what i did. well, i know what i did but i don't know how i did it. actually, i do know how i did it i just don't know . . . . nevermind. seriously, it seemed that giving the vram some loving help the min to get that high after OCing the core.
congrats.. I had SLI 670 //still rocks  just jump to 970 due to 4gb VRAM Nice score!!! better than some 980's new run... CPU OC`ed @ 4.3
