So a little bit of a noob when it comes to bios flashing. I would like to see about raising the voltage just a tad bit and also the tdp limit. I know that there are some risk to do that how risky is it. I currently have the msi gtx 970 gaming edition.

Whats the max voltage on these modded bios? Anyway to increase voltage in large increments or is it only chicken feed thats nets you an extra 30-50mhz?

    Or am i mistaken?

Max voltage of the slider is 1.6 but we are hard limited to 1.31 I believe. The software only shows 1.275 but several guys with multimeters say it is actually 1.31.

Ah ok, i seen some people over at oc.net who were reporting 1.45v at only 1615mhz, i thought that cannot be right. This explains why, cheers Steven.

I think the strix can do that with a modded bios. It was posted http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2896

It's the only 980 I know of that can.

Yeah i seen that, not much of an increase though for the added voltage tbh. For the amount of volts that its using i expected more tbh.

I have a MSI 970 gaming, software says 1.218 default and max of 1.26 for unmodded, modded 1.275

Now the real voltage measured from card is way higher , the 1.218 measures is like 1.28-1.3 , the 1.26 is 1.34 measured with DVM .

My 24/7 clock is 1482/7500 but have tested as far as 1537/7700 on stock voltage and not hit the limit yet .

Is this tool by any chance able to edit the BIOS of a GTX980M ?

I'm able to provide links to GTX970M and GTX980M BIOS for testing if the author of that tool is interested...

    Unlock SMMs?

Will the 980 bios flash unlock the extra gtx970 SMMs? Has someone tested that yet?

What voltage is this flash running? I heard the software maxes out at 1.275v however the measured voltage is actually 1.30v.

Can anyone please tell me how to only change the boost frequency of my 980 G1 Gigabyte from 1380 to 1530mhz and leave everything to stock?

Is their an updated version for gm200? Looking to raise the power limit to 115 or so from 109. Unsupported device when I open my saved bios.

Saw this thread a few seconds ago so I decided to start OC'ing the 750 Ti again :D No extra voltage, only a modded power limit. Stable (<- screenshot) so far :D

With that version of NVFLASH you don't need to disable your GPU, it will do it automatically.
Also only -6 works for flashing (-4 won't force it), if you run into an issue with protection use --protectoff.

Zoson did a great job labelling the power table:

6th set of min/def/max down is the Power Target, just set the max(mW).

That pt of 125 in the 6th set is what I need to change in my bios? Think it's 109 in my bios? Anything else needed to modify just for power target?
