I am planning on upgrading my graphic card and ram. I don't play on a resolution higher than 1280X720 and 1360X768 and i don't plan on upgrading my monitor due budget crunch. Please suggest me a card which can run most upcoming games on very high or ultra settings. I know the requirements of The Division is not out but still any help would be appreciated.
I dont see why you need to upgrade, your 560Ti can run any game at ultra settings with 50+ fps on that resolution. My friend has 560Ti, he is using 1280x1024, he can run every game on ultra with 50+ fps. So i dont see reason to upgrade at this moment. You can upgrade latter, when you actually need to. You will also be able also to get better card at the same price, if you upgrade latter. 265X or 750ti also wont be a major upgrade, compared to your 560TI.
I am talking about the coming future. Games like Division, and watch dogs barely runs properly on high settings. How about Asus GTX 760 Or Sapphire R9 270X Toxic edition.
Out of the two you listed the 760 is better, but instead of getting a 760 you can get the better r9 280 non x at the same price. Or if you won't mind squeezing a bit more cash you can go for the 280x or gtx 770 , the last two are overkill for the res you mentioned...but hey, you're guaranteed they'll play your games at ultra settings. Unless the games themselves are poorly optimized that is.
R9 280 non X version better than GTX 760 ? What if in near future i get a FULL HD monitor and want to play games at least in HIGH settings, then what options do i have ?
Yes the nonX is better than the gtx 760. If you do get a 1080p monitor and can't afford a 280x or gtx 770 i guess you will be fine with a non X as well if you're ok with high settings.
I think i will be fine with High settings. I am from India, Calcutta. My budget at maximum is 20K which is roughly around 335$. MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB, this is the card i am thinking of buying.
Go Nvidia. The 280 and the 760 are pretty much neck and neck. Nvidia has better support and no one denies it. I mean go to newegg and look at the reviews yourself. Out of 30 brands of the 760 only 5 brands have 4 star reviews. The remainder all have 5 star from the buyers. I'm talking 300 reviews. There are 11 options for the 280. 3 of the cards have no reviews. Only 2 cards have 5 stars( Which both cards together have 8 buyers) and the rest are 3 and 4 star. Here is a quote from the Tweaktown review: "The simple fact is that we just can't recommend this card. If you're on a HD 7900 series card, this is going to be a side step or down grade." "This card a model we wouldn't recommend. AMD has really put companies in a tough position with this new model. It taints what is a fantastic line up of video cards. It's obvious why AMD and most of their partners aren't promoting this model. Let's hope for their sake that it's forgotten about as quickly as it was known." Just look up what people are saying about it. The 770 overcomes the 280x in a side by side comparison. Using an MSI gaming 280x vs a MSi gaming gtx770 Not to mention you get a free copy of Watchdogs with the 770 and nothing with the AMD counter part. Both cards are $289 with rebate. The GTX 770 has: Significantly higher clock speed 1,137 MHZ vs 1000 MHz Higher effective memory clock speed 7,012 MHz vs6,000 MHz More than 15% higher effective memory clock speed Higher turbo clock speed 1,198 MHz vs 1,050 MHz The 280x and 280(non X) has more memory and wider memory bus. At 720p will not help you one bit. The 760 or 770 is the way to go. "his is a review from HARDOCP when the 770 was $100 more then the 280x. Now that they are the same price the 770 is the recommended buy. So is the MSI R9 280X GAMING Series the right video card for you? Let us recap a few things. The MSI R9 280X GAMING series video card has a price of $299.99. This is a zero dollar premium compared to a standard AMD R9 280X video card. A GeForce GTX 770 will retail for $399, and a GeForce GTX 760 sells between $249 to $289 for custom cooled and overclocked versions. When we compare these prices to the performances each video card displayed in this evaluation, we come to ask this question. Is an extra 1-2 FPS worth the extra money spent purchasing a GeForce GTX 770 instead of the MSI R9 280X GAMING video card? For us, the answer is no. The price and performance of the MSI R9 280X GAMING is the better deal than the GTX 770. What about if you are thinking about upgrading, and can't make up your mind between a custom GeForce GTX 760 and the MSI R9 280X GAMING? For us, the answer is yes, the extra money is worth spending. The GeForce GTX 760 struggles at 2560x1600, and performs best at 1080p. The MSI R9 280X GAMING can handle the higher resolution for a few bucks more. "(Editor's Note: Within minutes of publishing this review, NVIDIA has announced new 7 series base MSRP pricing. As of October the 29th, "the new suggested e-tail price for GTX 770 is $329." This of course puts the GTX 770 in a new light giving it a premium of $30 over the MSI 280X GAMING Series.)"
Nope! Facts are facts. I do own a Computer sales and repair store. So, I do build dozens of these rigs monthly.
The 770 is running on a 256bit memory bus vs 384 bit for the 280x guess which card has more memory bandwidth.
I thought the R9 280x is neck and neck with the 770 for the most part. Also form what I have been seeing that the R9 280x is either cheaper or equal to the 2gb 770 on Newegg. So the facts you got are flawed. Also there are other r9 280x cards than just the MSI gaming one. Also the Gigabyte Windforce r9 280x is $300 bucks on newegg.
Just look at what FPS they get in games. Don't bother with things like 2GB or 3GB of VRAM at that resolution. UNLESS you start playing Watch_Dogs, that game uses what it can get. India reminds me of heat, cooler might be something to take in consideration too.
