Xfi Titanium Fatal1ty PCI-E locking up Windows 8 Pro

Had audio drop out and lock up using my Xfi.. Looked everywhere for answer. Found it. No more locks ups or any problems. It involves regedit. You must disable jack sensing in windows 8 Pro. In regedit click on edit/find and paste this for easiest string find : DynamicDevices When you are in globalsettings EnableDynmaicDevices must be changed from the only 01 string to 00. This solved all my problems with the X fi. No matter the driver or how software was installed. I know this will help ALOT of PEOPLE>..... Tried to post on Creative's website but wouldn't let me even after registering for an account just to post this find. Sorry Creative.. You suck!

Heeheeheeee.... Now Creative has delayed the Titanium driver for example to "early February" which probably means that Forte will get them in Summer 2013.

So basically, Creative is considering the X-Fi range 2nd class?
Why the heck, my X-Fi Titanium PCI-E isn't that old, and it's still one of the best soundcards from them.

lol I just now noticed there was a nov 12 version of the Creative ALchemy version 1.43.27

and why do I have to go to downloads of other cards to get the software?

hell the sites not even showing my card......

edit. at first it would not install. said not product found. which is stupid because the version before works.

I edit some ini file and move some setup files and it went and installed the newer version:nerd:

OK, thanks. I'm gonna give it a try. :)

    -edit-
I have a question, though. Why is it only 48 MB in size, whereas Auzentech's driver are 160 MB?

Auzen probably includes the apps with the drivers whereas these are just the drivers. Let us know if they work with the prelude, gl

Apparently, they don't work with the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude.

    WOW!
Huge sound improvement and the front panel lights work correctly now.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR LINK, kakarot !!
Bass roll-off is improved, and piano music does not sound as though pianist is banging the keys.

Glad they're working for you guys. I thought i was going crazy when i thought things sounded better so maybe creative finally made a good driver

@xankazo. I doubt you'll be able to run the installer as it will not pick up a creative card. Maybe you can force install thru the device manager?
