The driver isn't for radeon cards. It's strictly for embedded CPUs/GPUs. Doesn't even support the A-series, Athlon or Sempron APUs.
Well it's not quite that simple, it's just the other card's information isn't in the INF. It's been that way before and Asder has modded the driver in the past. However, in this case the driver is actually dated 02 July, so is older than the last standard driver. It's true however, the version number is higher: DriverVer=07/02/2014, 14.201.1005.0000 DriverVer=07/09/2014, 14.200.1004.0000 The driver files themselves I believe are like many previous drivers. Effectively the same version, but older builds. The only difference I see is the AES encryption provider support (I assume AES), going by the archive name. There seems to be a provider registration file in the PSPAPP/PSPAPP64 folders. The actual registration file is called cspregister.exe. If run (it's a command line program) you are given options to enumerate providers, to register the AMD one, and to unregister. By using register, it adds the AMD provider to the bottom of the list: Of course, it probably doesn't work unless you have an embedded chip.
No benefit from modding these. Hopefully we're in the 'calm' (driver release wise) before the 'storm' (a major overhaul of the driver which means current drivers have a lull).
Not long to wait for a new driver anyway, probably be this Tuesday, as its supposed to be this week, so 3 days.
Yup. Normally I would be all over a driver like this one, but given that CatalystMaker all but confirmed a new driver release next week, I can wait hahaha.
Someone that makes catalysts :3eyes: Catalystmaker is a person who works for AMD, and has a twitter account in an unofficial role. Basically, with permission, but what he speaks is his own views. https://twitter.com/CatalystMaker
Or it might be released later this very week. It's not the usual scenario but it's happened before. In fact, I remember downloading a new driver on Friday not so long ago.
Yeah could be any day this week tbh, it is normally a Tuesday, but they have released on other days as well.
