Weird... Did you tried to delete I didn't) file: localstore.rdf ...before transition from FF 28.0 to FF 29.0?

I did transition from FF 28.0 to FF 29.0 on about 10 rigs of mine so far, not a single problem yet. Only thing I've noticed is that with latest Colorful Tabs 23.1 (+ Classic Theme Restorer 1.1.8) main tab can't be curved anymore even if you choose that in Classic Theme Restorer. I like when main tab stands out gainst others opened tabs.

Is there a way to speed up the launch/opening of FF? Compared to Chrome, it can take a pretty long time depending on the systems specs, like an Asus T100TA.

Do any of you block third party cookies? Worth it?

Ah cool .. I was just having some trouble with some sites forgetting customization (such as this one) by blocking 3rd party cookies and was wondering if it's worth it. I set guru, youtube, and a few others in the exceptions so I hope I'm not negating the effect of blocking 3rd party cookies.

I don't have any issues with sites forgetting customisation and have been blocking 3rd party like I say for ages, 3rd party aren't anything to do with the site you customise anyway afaik

I use YouTube Center to customise YT

Hmm .. guru kept reverting to aria skin (I use fast), youtube reverted to flash player, and outlook forgot me everytime I closed the browser :( I'm not sure what happened ... I block flash cookies as well in the control panel applet but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Are you just using FF own settings to block 3rd party cookies or an addon?

    Im just using FF settings

EDIT - I use Aria anyway, so if it was reverting I wouldn't notice

    I'll try it out now.

I've had it enabled for a few days and I've not noticed any speed improvements :( I have my regular cache on the ssd so maybe that's why the difference could be negligible.

hmm i use selective cookies which i dont think work right to keep cookies i want and delete the rest on exit , cuase I wind up have to add said cookies to allow list in FF cookies to just keep those cookies to not get deleted on exit

This addon removes all cookies once you leave the site, unless you tell it to keep that particular sites cookie while you are on the site, so it works on a whitelist basis

yah selective cookies is supposed to remove all cookies but the whitelisted one but it removes even the white listed ones from with in the addon. As of late only way i been able to get FF to remember cookies i want delete the rest was putting them on the allow list in the built in FF cookie manager.

Gona have to give this add on a try

I disable selective cookies before tring that addon it works under the same premise, only difference is it used the FF internal Whitelist that and it lot simpler to setup. that and it actual delete cookies upon kill the tab too (if a lil delayed) if it whitelisted. that and the icon for the addon is green for whitelisted and yellow/red for stuff that is not.

Selective cookies i have to Whitelist the cookies in the ADDON whilelist and the FF internal whitelist.

I think i will use self destucting cookies as it seem easier to setup.
