Thanks for the review. It looks outstanding. Hilbert, could you please tell: 1. If it's possible to set bezel correction in the way, so whole displayed image is moved, and crosshair is displayed only one one monitor? 2. Are temperatures better with this modified exhaust?
It's a cool technology. I think I would rather go for 3*1 or 5*1. I think that the bezels of an even number of monitors are too distracting in the center. Thanks for the review. Cool.
What I find more interesting about all the reviews of this card circulating on the internet is that the 2GB of ram makes little to no difference on frames even at 2k res. So this rumored 2Gb 5870 that's supposed to out perform the 480 is probably going to need some speed boosts in other areas. As for eyeinfinity, I personally see more use for it in non gaming applications than gaming. Still pretty cool though.
No. But what´s the point of having a six LCD setup with an much higher resolution it you have those bezels in the middle??? And the price of putting up a setup like this is simply not worth it, at least for me...
how about this? source: http://www.filmtools.com/tvlogic-40-1366-x-768-monitor-fcm-400w.html CubeX offers something but not for full HD and it will cost you an arm and a leg:3eyes: http://www.cubexvideo.com/
Of course crossfire works with eyefinity, what I meant was that you couldn't CF the cards if you had 9 monitors hooked up because three would need to be plugged into the second card and the second card's outputs aren't recognized if its in crossfire.
Hi guys, I joined these forums to post a question about this review. What good is 6 or even 9 screens if you dont see anything extra? The game itself looks like its in 640x480 resolution with the gun taking up an entire screen. With the cost of the cards over 700 bucks (well the 6 port one at least) THEN the cost of the monitors you really have to have more money than sense to think that this would be the way to go. I think nvidia had 3 projectors running off of their sli gtx480 rig at their 480 launch at pax east. 3 screens 25' each and no bezels in the way. If you want huge screens with no bezels at low game resolutions that would be the way to go.
Well now we have to wait for the moniters to 'step if up' a notch or 6.....cause obviously they are trapped in the 90s as this technology points out
I had the same idea, but if you think about it for a moment, no it's not. All the monitors have to run the same resolution for the setup to work.
I had that idea in one of the forums here and most people said it was cool and I cant remember his name but someone thought I should mention it to him to see if he would do it.

Three monitors is the best setup IMHO. Good for productivity and gaming. Of course, the bezel needs to be much thinner!
