    What AMD can do..

If AMD doesn't release an updated driver for 6XXX series cards they can suck

Front my point of view the hd6000 series didn't suffer from performance issues, only the new hd7000 series cause of the new architecture.

Very impressive hope nVidia does something similar would love an extra 10% of performance out of my 670. This makes the 7xxx cards very attractive.

Eagerly awaiting the next build with the bug fixes. The current price of the original 7970, the overclockability, this nice games bundle coupled with this nice little boost in performance may just tip me towards throwing in a second 7970 at Crimbo!

It is only 1 quarter and they are restructuring. It is never good news but many companies have posted profit warnings or losses, just a sign of the times. It is a strong brand and will either bounce back or be bought out.

It's just swings between the two companies for their top end cards. The competition is good for us. Without it we wouldn't have any new innovative cards, PC gaming would probably die as consoles takeover. Anyway this is OT.

If AMD keeps putting out drivers like this, when it comes time to upgrade my folding rigs, I will go with the next gen AMD cards.

Although my 3DMark 11 graphics score stayed the same from 12.9 to 12.10 to 12.11 on my A8-3500M APU (6620G)+6750M combo, my physics score went up over 25%! Nobody thought about them improving GPGPU performance for the non-GCN cards. ;)
