hello guys, i bought an asus xonar dx sound card 3 weeks ago, and i noticed now that it has a mumming sound on mic, without
even a mic connected in it, plus it increases a lot when i ran a game
i have monitoring on mic on and i hear the buzzing sound like allways, its really disappointing for a new card
when i remove it and i use onboard sound card i have no issues, no buzzing sound on teamspeak (i watch it on mic test where it shows you the signal down to -50 db, with realtek onboard its 0 with xonar is -30 -25 on idle and over -10 with games on)
should i get it back on store for replace?
    what is it?
    something like this

Uninstall those 310.90, try 306.97. Do a custom install just the driver. Download this if you want to use it that is http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-driver.html. And make sure you have uninstalled your onboard sound driver's and disabled your Onboard audio in your motherboard bios. keep me informed p.s made be some new speakers are in order

306.97 do support the GTX 680 690 670 660 etc... if those sound driver's don't fix it, well i think it's time of some new speakers BTW whats the name & make of those old speakers you have.

When you run a game, naturally GPU usage goes up. The noise increases due to inteference from the graphics card. I get it when I fold on my GTX260 as my soundcard is directly above the GPU.

If you have an integrated or a spare low-power graphics card, you might want to take out that 680 and run without it, and see what you get.

For a more permanent solution, if the above suggestion works out for you, then you might want to move the soundcard to another slot if that's possible. If not, then try one of those flexible PCI-E x1 extension cables.

I got this to try it out but haven't tested it yet.

You know i am just saying it's started to sound like a PSU failure how many amp on that +12v rail you have on that 700w cooler master

    Single 12V Power Rail
This singular stout 12V power rail maximizes power control to connected elements with 80A flowing through it, reducing the need for load balancing on multiple rails.

also my mb dont have other pci to test it

So if you are saying it's 80A sorry to say your wrong, read ware it says DC Output +12V=50A
Well i tried my best to help. What do you have to lose do a complete format.
    P.S it's a nice power supply tho..

Its not PSU failure, its down to noise on the power rails and/or EM interference (other things transmitting EM noise, the card is picking it up).
You can try putting some shielding round the card or turn off mic monitoring when not using a mic.

    How did you shield it?

You know you can use the other soundcards microphone socket, set it as the default device.
