Already mentioned in news section :nerd: http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/intel_will_release_20_new_haswell_cpus_in_may.html And by the looks of it its just some locked models, 4670K / 4770k is still the way to go if you want to OC. Edit: and Broadwell might be Z87 compatible after all.. That whole z87 motherboards are missing VRM and stuff is just some bs, never really confirmed by intel. Look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=KeDtXucTwRI#t=23 This Intel Rep/Ceo said: "you can plug it in into existing systems or new systems with broad range of fanless designs", In other words it will be compatible with existing z87 chipset and of course new z97 chipsets with new features.
If Haswell refresh is on Z97, will Broadwell , if released for desktops, be also released with Z107 (or equivalent)?
No Z97 is just so they could add more features - sata express, etc, just like in the past z68 vs z77.. That Z107, if its still named like that, will be for Skylake for sure
