Looks like a very basic keyboard, nothing special...

Except that it's mechanical, has laser etched keys and it's backlit? If the price is low this will be a winner.

Edit: The GK series is the backlit one, which is a shame. The yellow theme is kinda ugly. Also, there's no wrist wrest and choice of switches (at this time) which is a deal breaker for me.

Looks basic indeed apart from it being Mechanical.

I recently bought a Logitech G710+ as my first ever Mechanical Keyboard and i'm really happy with it. I did replace all o-rings with Red ones tho, ordered at WASD. I came from a G19.

Well, in Asia, Cherry Red is the more popular switch among users here, so perhaps MSI is taking its cue from here....:infinity:

It comes with Black o-rings and they arn't really soft. So they don't absorb really well.

I would have preferred it if they had a Cherry MX Brown switch variant. It'll be great for those like me who do more typing than gaming but don't want the loudness of the Cherry MX Blue.

Ya, I know about that keyboard, but don't feel like replacing my current board, mechanical keyboards aren't cheap :p. I'll just stick it out with my Razer BlackWidow (Cherry MX Blue) board for a couple more years.

It's the switches themselves, the different colors all work different. Some have more resistance, the other less deadzone, the other more noise.

I can recommend to anyone thinking about using a mechanical keyboard to advancing that thought process to a purchase.

Not just for gaming, but simple typing becomes a joy also as the keys have such a satisfying 'ping' to them; you'll want to type more. Run-on sentences are your problem. :)

True that and if possible test every switch before deciding cause. For me red was a clear winner. And for my friends brown. I just like the fact that these keys aren't tactile and actuation requires no force whatsoever. And well I don't exactly like the sound of typewriter that comes with mx blue ;)

The only thing i don't like about the G710+ is the Spacebar. But it been over 2 months now and nothing really bothers me anymore about it. You get used to it.

I came from a G19 which is dome keys, and the first week i was like "Screw this, i'm gonna return this noisy crap". Now i wouldn't want anything else anymore.

And i really really like the look of the G710+, no idea why ppl complain about it on other forums.

Another thing i done was paint the top of the activation LEDs of Numpad and such Black with a Marker, as the LED control doesn't change the brightness of time. But that was an easy fix :)

Backlit in yellow? What are they on? Wouldn't be worth it because I'd have to mod the leds to blue or white.

    This.

As much as I like gaming, constant typing when coding or making documentation means Red or Blue switches a no-no.

Yellow is way more easy on the eyes then blue or white. But ofc not as pretty.
