I said that as to not get bombarded with usless systems to rate, and if my panties were in a bunch, I would not have bothered to give you a reply....
Could you rate my real system then? I was thinking of doing a complete new system upgrade with an E6600 - But it's too much money. I've decided I'll keep my current system for about a year, maybe longer. Might do a DX10 GPU upgrade though.
Your current one (in your specs) I'd give it 6.3/10 Dual core, entry level though (it can be OC'd much more than that) Decent mobo decent GPU only 1GB ram good sound card nice PSU
What clocks are you running on your CPU? specs as listed.........7.8/10 (maybe a little more depending on your OC)
Stock right now t'll maybe winter comes so my processor will stay below 50c on h20. I bought a bad h20 setup and it keeps it around 44-48c on most hot days though. I was thinking about going up to a x2 4200+.
If you mean 2.2Ghz then even on bad water cooling you should be able to get that. Hell, on the stock cooler you should be able to get to about 2.4Ghz or more. Where is your PC, in a sauna?...lol...
Right now it averages about 75-100f in my trailor in the day time and cooler at night time. I am getting a white trailor that is bigger so I might be able to oc here to 2.6 on h2o w/out problems with heat. Also my new a/c will most likely be installed in the computer/bedroom anyways.
OCZ GameXStream 600w DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D AMD Opteron 165 2GB G.Skill HZ DDR500 Western Digital 250GB SATA-II Sapphire X1900XT Samsung 16x DVD+/-RW
As is......7.8/10 No sound card? I assume you are planning to OC? Very good GPU nice CPU good ram quality PSU If you can get the opty to FX-60 speeds bump it up to 8.2, add a sound card, 8.4. If you OC, add a sound card and crossfire the rig, 9.3/10
Yeah, sound card would be nice to add at a later time, maybe like a Christmas present for him. He'ld done all of his gaming on a Dell laptop for a while (Inspiron 8600), so the monitor and onboard sound are more than good enough for him. For a while, I was actually going to get him an LCD with built-in speakers.
I'm looking at completely upgrading my system for gaming and so far I'm thinking... CPU: Intel Core 2 DUO E6600, Socket775, “Conroe”, 2.40GHz, 1066FSB, 4MB Cache (OC to 3.5GHz) GPU: 1GB XFX 7950 GX2, PCI-E 16, Memory 1300 MHz, GPU 520 MHz, 2 x Dual Link DVI-I RAM: Corsair 2 x 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400 TwinX, 667MHz PSU: 580W Blue HiperPower Type-R, Modular, Quiet Double Fan, 20/24 Pin Motherboard: DFI LANParty nForce 590 SLI Intel Edition (When released) http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=5939 I already have sound card, HDDs and all other components so what do people think out of ten? If I buy this setup
9.1/10 Good CPU Great GPU Quality PSU OK ram (you can do better) Nice mobo I don't know what sound card you have
Thanks for the Info craptacular, sorry bout the other thread... After people have advised me a few times I decided I'm changing my RAM for the 1066Mhz... About the soundcard I'm looking at the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum... With that RAM and the soundcard what could you score it? I'm quite happy with peoples opinions already though
Well, depending on the ram you get I'd bump it to 9.2/10. I gave the above evaluation with a quality sound card in mind. As I was hoping you wouldn't let a rig down like that with onboard audio......
