Well, conviction was a universe away from the old classic SCs, but still was cool semi-stealth action so i'd rather play another wannabe SC than nothing at all. Gonna keep my eye on it, maybe pick it up when price has dropped later on.
Well, I hope the really go back to the original stealth mechanics of the game from the original to Chaos Theory (which IMO was the best). There are so few real decent stealth games around these days, and it would be good to see splinter cell get back on form.
Yep Chaos Theory still wins hands down. Online and offline. Spies Vs Mercs for me was a true turning point in online coop play especially. Conviction however was possibly the biggest disappointment gaming wise in a long time so I'm praying and pleading with them to return to the series to something more akin to CT once more. Again both online and off.
always interested in new Splinter Cell games, but i just hope they ditch the action oriented gameplay and go back to stealth like previous games, Conviction wasn't bad but it was lacking and at times too easy.
The tag & auto-fire feature broke the whole game. That and the black/white shader when hidden. Whoever brought that in should be shot.
i still havent played much in conviction. not the game i want to play. so many on screen popups its getting on my nerves. hopefully this game wont be like that.
Funny, i played all installments of the series and still think that conviction was the best. Taste differs.
Chaos Theory is probably the best in the series. But Conviction I would say is easily the second best. It may not be the "classic" Splinter Cell style and design, but it's still a SC game. And a fantastic one at that. I really look forward to this next game.
god ... i hated the black/white $hite! it was terrible :bang: i never finished the game mind, i think i'm near though (80% maybe?).. i'll play in a bit even though i'm not exactly looking forward to it, but i want to finish it.
Its not worth finishing, instead you should try online coop with someone you know, its really really fun. Sneaking through laser grids with another player feels like MissionImpossible.

Yeah it seems their website currently times out, was going to link to a second article but it seems you already posted the images so it's not needed. (Post in the above URL was mostly just a link to where he found these images which was via http://www.gamekyo.com/newsen46985_e3-2012-screens-splinter-cell-black-list.html though it's pretty slow at the moment.)
