Damn it, on BF3 the boost is real... It's almost like when I had my card overclocked at 1050Mhz ( 900 default ).

I'm playing Caspian full Ultra, 1080p and just a few times it goes below 50FPS, while it was happening very often before.

This means... Ultra with 2xMSAA you should be playing FINE! At least on vanilla maps.

arghhhhh loveing the performance BUT one thing bothering me my clock speeds are all over while idle.

    core can go 300/450/1050
    memory stuck at 1200

suppose i can live with memory being at 1200 for now at least core downclocks to 300..

would be nice to have cool memory during the night though : / pc is on 24/7 might just down clock it manually before bed to 150 : )

No noticeable improvements for me at all, but I think my CPU is a real bottleneck.

Reposting this from the other 12.11 beta thread because I just installed this.

Much improved performance in Chivalry Medieval Warfare, but with Afterburner and a slight OC, it's forcing constant voltage and my memory clock isn't scaling down either, slightly higher temps as well.

Any hope for a fix for this?

I gained over 800 points in 3DMarks 11 and the issues I was having cleared away after a reboot and setting my own idle clocks. :nerd:

Let me guess, you have a reference 7970?

I have the same problem, only seems to affect reference 7970 users, non reference users are ok.

Reference 6970, maybe an afterburner fix will roll out.

    CF 7950 user here (1200 / 1375 @ 1.2), running 5960x1080 on BF3 (bezel compensation enabled).

Settings are textures Ultra, everything else on high, motion blur on, post AA high, 2x msaa. I am using Radeon Pro (awesome) DFC to lock at 60 fps, setting vsync always on and tripple buffering on (these 2 are in game enabled anyway). Finally using danoc 1.3 FXAA injector.

I was getting typically 55 fps, with dips to 45 fps in places.
New drivers, nearly always 60 fps, with occasional dips to low 50's.
    Overall very impressed.

My CPU is holding me back I know (1090T @ 4.0 / CPU/NB @ 3000), just praying that the Vishera results released after the NDA is up tomorrow is positive, then I can switch away from my 1090T, sorry for going O/T!

    Chris.

Hi all (sorry for my bad english), just want to report huge performance loss in games like Borderlands 2 / COD black ops (black ops droppin from ~200fps to ~85fps with stutter), same thing with 12.9 beta, no problem with 12.8 official, really hope it will be solved with official version.

    Corrupted Screen After Install

So after I install the 12.10 or the 12.11 I get a corrupted purple screen, with lines going everywhere. Does anyone know what is causing this issue? I have never ran into this before. I did a fresh install of Win 7 and still got the issue. I am running a 5870 on Win 7 Ult. Thank you for any help.

No issues like that here, drops down to 300/150@0.848v idle, vanilla HD7970 with GHZ-Ed. bios..

12.11 beta uninstalled (driver sweeper, Ccleaner etc), 12.10 official installed, same thing, performance drops, 12.10 uninstalled, 12.8 installed = perfect performance in all games, those drivers are a "no go" for me, gettin tired of this "get the new HD7xxx, cause we don't support older ones!" F*CK THIS!

Well popped my 7970 back in as wanted to try these, so did some benchmarking, first i popped the 12.9 BETA's on and ran benchies, then popped these 12.11 BETA's on, and ran again.

There was an improvement, under the 12.9 BETA's in 3D11, i got 8062, gfx score was 9 thousand odd, under the 12.11 BETA's, score went to 8711, and the gfx score went to over 10,300.

    Heaven under 12.9 BETA's was about 89.9fps, 12.11 BETA's was around 92 odd.

Tested for this clock problem (as got a ref 7970 which is supposed to have the prob), and the clocks are fine, no problems at all, idles at 300/150, when watching flash vids in FF, goes to the usual 501 core (forgot what the memory went to, but i think it was 1375), then when stopped, back to 300/150, my 7970 is clocked at 1070/1500 btw.

Tested a few games, all run fine, except Stalker call of Pripyat, its broken under these 12.11 BETA's, when its finished loading the game, instead of getting Press 'Key to Start', it just goes back to the desktop, with the xray engine has stopped working, checking for solution guff, but under the 12.9 BETA's, it loaded fine, so don't know whats up with that, even Stalker SOC worked fine (which also uses the xray engine).

Havn't had any full screen crashes with 100% fan yet, which i was getting with the 12.6/12.7 BETA's (although only been back running the 7970 for about 2 and a half hrs), so will leave it in and see how it goes. :)

This was the first driver, which gaved me massive flickering, dissapearing objects and screen corruption in games :wanker:. If you get any issues with this driver, my advice to you: wipe out old driver with driver sweeper\driver fusion before installing this one. It was the first time I decided not to clean out old drivers and got screen corruption in 3D :bang:. But clean install fixed everything
