Focus Home Interactive E3 2017 news


Focus Home Interactive unveiled its exciting E3 2017 line-up. From closed-door presentations to exclusive interviews and hands-on demos – here is the full list of games to be showcased at the Focus Home Interactive booth,

West-Hall #4512, at E3 2017 in Los Angeles, June 13-15.

Here are the games that will be showcased behind closed doors at E3 2017:

Vampyr (DontNod): 45 minutes of never-before-seen gameplay.
A Plague Tale: Innocence (Asobo): A 15 minutes gameplay walkthrough with developer commentary.
Call of Cthulhu (Cyanide): A gameplay walkthrough with developer commentary.

In addition, Focus Home Interactive will reveal more details and assets for the following titles during E3 2017:

Insurgency: Sandstorm (New World Interactive)
Werewolf: The Apocalypse (Cyanide)
GreedFall (Spiders)

Crackdown 3 - New PC Title with native DX12?

Crackdown 3 confirmed for the PC, will be an “Xbox Play Anywhere” title, releases in 2017
Back in 2016, Microsoft claimed that all of its title that were showcased at E3 would be released on the PC (yes yes, Microsoft claimed that all future titles would be coming to the PC, but then backtracked). And since Crackdown 3 was not shown during that event, a lot of us wondered whether this game would hit the PC. Well, it’s been confirmed that Crackdown 3 will be coming to our platform, and will be an “Xbox Play Anywhere” title.

This basically means that this game will be coming exclusively on Windows 10 via Microsoft’s Windows Store. And while some games did find their way on Steam, we are pretty sure that Crackdown 3 won’t be one of them.

Reagent Games has also confirmed that Crackdown 3 will be released in 2017.

Ubisoft has just officially revealed Far Cry 5. Far Cry 5 will take place in Hope County, Montana, in which players’ arrival incites the cult to violently seize control of the region.
As such, players must rise up and spark the fires of resistance to liberate a besieged community.

Far Cry 5 will let players explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game.

As the game’s description reads:

“You are the hero of the story in a thrilling world that hits back with every punch, and where the places you discover and the locals you ally with will shape your story in ways you’ll never see coming.”

Extinction

Extinction is a new action game with fully destructible environments, coming to PC in Q1 2018.

Iron Galaxy and Maximum Games announced today a new fast-paced action game, Extinction. In Extinction, players will fight massive ogres and their minions across a sprawling countryside, defending cities and rescuing native villagers torn from their homes.

Moreover, players will be able to use the dynamic skill-based combat system to tactically disarm and dismember enemies before going in for the kill.

Kraig Kujawa, Game Director at Iron Galaxy, said:

“Extinction is absolutely relentless. We’re really happy with the fast, fluid feel of the game and we’re looking forward to showing it behind closed doors at E3.”

Derek Neal, Executive Producer at Maximum Games, added:

“As the protagonist tasked with a huge undertaking – both in fighting enormous ogres and saving humans from disaster – each player’s experience will be varied, as the landscapes and battle situations are never identical.”

Here are the game’s key features:

# Deep Story Campaign. Protect the human population across an abundant story campaign, rescuing as many civilians as possible and taking down brutal opponents.
# Dynamic Side Missions. Complete numerous side missions with various objectives, earning upgrades to aid you in your campaign.
# Skill-Based Combat. Travel horizontally and vertically, perform wall runs, and use your whip as a vault to perform devastating air assaults. Master dynamic combat maneuvers to effectively traverse the giant beasts and expose their weak points, progressing along different skill trees to develop a path best suited to your playstyle.
# Interactive Environment. Move freely around a fully destructible environment, and use objects throughout the world to your strategic advantage.

Ghost Games today announced Need for Speed Payback, the new action driving blockbuster from one of the world’s bestselling video game franchises, hitting stores November 10th. In order to celebrate this reveal, Ghost Games released the first two screenshots and the debut trailer for this new Need for Speed game.

According to the press release, this will be an ‘explosive adventure filled with intense heist missions, high stakes car battles, epic cop pursuits and jaw dropping set pieces.’

Marcus Nilsson, Executive Producer, said:

“Need for Speed returns this year to challenge what players expect from racing games. Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, players will drive as three distinct characters reunited by a quest for vengeance against The House, a nefarious cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals and cops. They will take on a variety of challenges and events as Tyler, the Racer; Mac, the Showman; and Jess, the Wheelman to earn the respect of the underground.

Featuring the deepest customization from the series, players can craft a personalized and unique ride, or spend hours finding and tuning an abandoned derelict into a supercar. They can then push their cars to the limit and raise the stakes by betting on their own performance, where they can either multiply their winnings or risk losing it all.

TEKKEN 7 suffers from some ridiculous Chromatic Aberration effects (when Post-Processing is set to High or Ultra). They are so ridiculous that make the entire screen look way too blurry. As such, we strongly suggest using the following guide in order to disable it.

Wreckfest

THQ Nordic will help Bugbear Entertainment finish Wreckfest in 2017

THQ Nordic has announced that it will be partnering with Bugbear Entertainment in order to finish Wreckfest. Wreckfest is a new demolition derby themed racing game with soft-body damage modeling, sophisticated driving dynamics and in-depth vehicle upgrading, that has been available on Steam Early Access for a while.

Wreckfest is going to receive a number of updates in the following months, including these features:

# The career mode: By achieving victories, players can get access to more and better cars and upgrade them with various parts
# Car customization: A complex system, allowing the players to fully customize their cars for their individual needs, like more armor to withstand the competitors or more powerful engines
# More cars, more tracks: THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment will make sure a constant flow of additional content will be added on a regular basis for the remaining months of the Early Access program
# New multiplayer server: To guarantee an outstanding racing and wrecking experience, an Official Wreckfest Server will be opened

THQ Nordic’s Managing Director, Klemens Kreuzer, said:
