Thanks, I'll wait until 2AM Perth, Australia time. Assuming you mean 6PM GMT by UK Time? Not British Standard Time. Correct?
Sorry i did mean UK GMT. But not sure for rest of world. MS doesnt work on regions just in case it all goes wrong they wont run the risk of wiping out a whole Region. It will be staggered and in waves.
What's your source on this? I know that's patch Tuesday release time and a possible release time, but Microsoft have not released anything saying that
Spent time today on phone dealing with a manager about two windows phones (950XL) got chatting and thats what he revealed to me. It does make sense and does fit in with MS patch Tuesday release time. ;-)
Well I'd take what a phone manager says about PC windows client OS releases with a grain of salt, yea possible, but nothing certain and unlikely that manager knows either, also guessing They have released the last few Insiders builds up to 11:30pm GMT too Would make sense being around that time to include the majority of the regions on the 2nd, but we'll see
He's actually right, just saw a tweet by Tom Warren confirming the times which came out after he posted by an hour or so. He was wrong about GMT though, it's BST, not GMT. Here's the link: https://twitter.com/tomwarren/status/760467877615038465 EDIT: Tom Warren confirmed media creation tool will also be updated with the .ISO files at those specific times. Check the comments.
The only problem is it will only be done in waves so not all will get it in the UK at the same time. if you have multiple systems like i do the best move is via the Media creation tool. download that @6pm (BST) and your guaranteed to get all systems running @6pm or slightly after.
Okay, so, BST 6 PM... when BST is GMT +1 and I'm at GMT +3... wait, I can do this... 8 PM then for GMT +3... ?
And your post is shown to me as posted on "17:xx" meaning it's 5pm in Finland. Three more hours to 6pm for you so equates to 8pm here then... yes? :bonk:
MCT has been updated and is now downloading the Anniversary Update http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-4811-99E7-68CE3327DAE6/MediaCreationTool.exe
