Great^.....Once again...>Use your e-brake into corners and turbo out... Keyword=e-brake, NOT full brake!...If you ever have to use full brake in a racing game...<You already screwed up Do you play FPS? (Im looking for a club) Crysis 3 Guru3D Multiplayer Club maybe?......
Pre-rendered frames ahead doesn't work in SLI when forced in the NV control panel. Nvidia's words not mine.
As long you enjoy the game, just keep on gaming.. About cornering, my advise is enter the corner from the outer lane, go to the inner lane, exit to the outer lane. If you can't take the inner lane, you're too fast
A lot of people suck at gaming. I suck at FPS games.... I'm usually the player with the highest number of deaths in multi-player.... Physics at it's finest!!! This same thing applies to racing IRL as well.
That old saying, practice makes perfect, holds true to gaming too. I suck at most games, but it's mainly because I don't give any single game that much time. I beat it and I'm on my way. </giggity> The few games I'm really good at are the ones I've given the most time to.
I play Counter Strike Online (CS 1.6 with some mods). At first I was a like a sitting duck, got killed with hardly killing anyone. Now I can say I'm quite good, at least I can make more kills than deaths, even sometimes kill the top players. Skill comes with practice...
I used to be ridiculously good at FPS games, and was doing CAL-M in CSS with a few friends of mine back in the day. Since then though, I've really lost a lot of my FPS ability for some reason. I just blame my mouse like the mature adult that I am.
The only 'racing' game I play is Scrapland* (so it's pretty fast combat races in 3D), and I got my a$$ handed to me the first couple times I stepped up to the mic. I spent a fair amount of time flying around the empty tracks learning the particular courses (getting a mental map of the overall arena, how to get around corners the fastest, how to use the tractor leash effectively, that sort of thing), so when I stepped into an armed race, I could focus on combat/scoring while not having to focus on how to navigate the arena. Can you take the track solo? Get the track down pat, then in a race, you can focus on handling the other traffic. Also, braking in every racing game I've ever played (disclaimer - not many) is pretty bad - there's no mild deceleration, it pretty much kills your momentum, so I just learned to shed speed in other ways. *Yeah, the 2004 game from American McGee (Enrique Alvarez, but whatever) - seriously, the racing combat is still super fun. Maybe I'll spice up the screenshot dump with some pics.
My only quick advice is, try find a vehicle in the game that has mediocre handling/braking, but has good acceleration and top speed. That way you will be forced to really work on the correct braking distance and handling procedures needed to take every corner very well. If possible enable ghost racing against the NPC or a previous time challenge where you drove pretty well and try beat that! last note Rinse repeat x 1000!!!!!
Good God I suck hard at fast paced shooters...too old really. Hands are shot. Still, I have fun and that's what counts.
