Can you point to what crap? Since when FXAA is going to use a lot of vram? That s the point. Besides I think only 5 people care about 4k atm.

I dont think any game use more than 3gb at 1080p or 1400p unless you go crazy with textures or AA.

Let me quote myself please "Either way any brand is going to give you enough power."

Well i bet on that resolution FXAA is enough to smooth out the jaggies.

But i agree, do a proper test.

TXAA is my favourite AA method, pixel crawling is disgusting.

Wow that dead method of AA looks really nice in those old games I'm playing like AC4 and Batman Origins.

In the battle of "red vs. green", I choose my cards based on how they work, not how they bench. PhysX, and SLI make a great push over AMD usually for me. I recently tried stepping up to run 120 hz. My first buy was 2 7970's and I had so many issues with cross-fire, I even re-installed windows just to try to make it work. I sent them back and found my 770 lightnings on sale. That put me back to the green side for BF4. I can run everything at ultra and 4x msaa on my 144hz monitor and run 120-160 fps and my card memory usage usually runs at 1.5 GB. So at 1080p IMHO more than 2 gb is overkill, I am not as worried about 1440p or 4k, just smooth fps, and the nice reduction of blurring in shooters. I got my 2 770 lightnings for $640 after rebate and just ran 3d 11 extreme last night and scored X7675. So if you do benchmark at all that's what I got. I don't compare a much because I just run those for stability and to stress my cards to make sure I don't get a lemon! Merry Christmas everyone.

    Where did you find a 120hz 2560 x 1440p monitor?

That is just an overclockable monitor. I thought you meant a straight from the box 120hz ISP panel. I have enough to worry about without getting mad because a monitor won't OC like I want it to. Maybe some day I will get the itch but for now I will stick with this. I think for now I am just waiting for Titanfall, and I hope it is "good".

You won't run into a monitor that doesn't OC well, really. Really really rare and generally PEBKAC or a panel defect. Look at the Qnix thread here on Guru and see how well all the monitors have OCed.

I have not seen that many games with TXAA, only 1 or 2 Crysis 3 and Black flag. I expected more considering how much Nvidia praised TXAA at release. As usual it comes down to the developer to implement it and the devs are lazy.

Tbh TXAA is meh for me.
