is that a duct on the front of the RB8?? what is newey up to this season... and btw, great thread as i'm an avid fan of F1!
i'm curious to see the new front wing and diffuser designs. but being these are just pre-season testings, i doubt any of the teams will run with their in-season designs. also, i thought new regulations require exhausts to be routed high and out the back. but from these pics, i don't see any of that.
I don't see how you could tell. I don't know about routed high but there will be no blown diffusers, that's for sure and the teams will not be realising pictures of the back end. Some of the teams get guys to stands at the back of the cars to stop the camera's showing the back end, Ferrari do it all the time.
Sauber is by far the most hideous looking car. RBR actually managed to make that nose decent. Mclaren looks good but is it fast? True testing start tomorrow. Lotus doesn't looks that bad actually.
it's the new regulation, in conjunction with the ban on blown diffusers and absurd engine mappings. here's a pic from scarbsf1: so supposedly, the exhaust pipes should be clearly visible on the cars' sidepods.
I may get the chance to see a live race this year , No word on ticket prices yet , Hope they don't want an arm and a left nutt lol http://www.circuitoftheamericas.com/ Track has a long way to go . Going to be surprised if they get it ready lol
it would be a major effort to have it raceable this season.. achievable but would really take a lot of effort and extra money
