My question is if the gtx770 can handel the 2560x1440 in games on high-highest quality. I saw the reviews but they only take the highest setting with filters so the FPS are lower.
Everyone has a different opinion on what high image quality means. For me, it's every bit of eye candy enabled plus a high level of AA (SSAA, SGSSAA) at 60fps. In my experience, even a single 780/Titan isn't enough to maintain a consistent 60fps at 2560x1440 in many games with what I would consider high image quality. I would have to suggest adding a second 770 or sticking with 1920x1080 if you are as big a stickler for IQ as I am.
That what I was worried about. If so which of the following screens are better for gaming? Dell U2413 Dell U2412M Dell U2410 I live in Israel so these are the only 1920X1200 screens...
What about a 27" screen at 1920 resolution? You could have the size without taking the performance hit of 2560.
I heard it doesn't look so good because of the low pixel density and got ghosting and overshoot problems. I'm talking about the Dell S2740L because its the only FHD 27 monitor here. If someone has a screen like this ill be happy to know how it is.
Personally I think 27" is too large for 1080p. If you can swing it you can get another 770 and a 2560x1440 screen for about 1,000 usd. Not sure what prices are like over there, but the ASUS PB278Q can be found for about $500.00.
I was using a 2560 x 1440p Monitor (Dell U2711) on my MSI GTX 770 Lightning Some games were a little bit choppy, sometimes more than others. i Had to kill some effects as well as the AA 2 Weeks later, i Bought another MSI GTX 770 Lightning for SLI action. its so much more better FPS, nearly double in some games. So IMHO, a single GTX 770 would'nt cut it at 2560 x 1440p
I have a asus pb278q (27" 2560x1440 ,can even oc it to 85Mhz without problems). Love this monitor and i run bf3 and all other games with a single gtx680 4gb. High gives me between 45-60 fps depending on map. But you will have to adjust to keep the fps up. I usualy just run nvidia geforce experience and then just fine tune with fraps up. Planning to sli or titan (or even amd if new cards are any good)
