Did yours have the 24V DOHC or the regular 12V OHV? The former actually has a lot of power and moves the car pretty well. But yeah, the AX4S/AX4N isn't really known for lasting a super long time. Keeping the fluid changed (and changing the filter once) helps immensely with that though.

And yes, the brand new SHO's are pretty damn nice. With a tune and a few basic modifications people have been getting near 500hp at the crank with them. And this is a V6 engine.

It doesn't have to be fuelled up, maintained, taxed/mot'd by the op and doesn't get held up in traffic . :D

    Thread bump!!!

I love boost and cooler weather. 700 horsepower pulls strong up top. Chevrolet Corvette LS3. No Z06 No ZR1, but I'll pull either one in a straight line. :)

Closed course rolling into 3rd, granny shifting, and riding out 4th gear.

^It's ridiculous how the Mph's roll up just as fast as the rpm's do with those modded C6's

It's like it's not even pushing anything :D

Thanks dude! It's only got the blower kit, supporting mods, headers, and a tune. That's it. Stock cam, no meth injection, etc. Plenty of room to add even more power. I do have supporting suspension upgrades but that's not motor work.

Man this thread is dead...I'll try and bump it one more time. :bang:

This Corvette is how it's supposed to be. Terrifying. Don't get me wrong, it's stupid fast out of the box. It's just there's plenty of good competition that with a sleepy driver they can lose. This power now, it feels like a roller coaster when you get on it. The whole front end lifts, it'll rip the tires out at 65mph if you don't slowly roll into the gas pedal. This is basically bat **** nuts.

I don't condone this type of driving but I came across a Honda CBR1000 RR not too long ago and he wanted to play. Ran him 4 times. This was the 4th run. I didn't get the 1st three on video so I egged him to run one more time so I can get it on video. I got a small jump but I beat him the other 3 times as well. I stopped when we were catching up to traffic and he does the fly-by. Crazy times!!! For a street car this is insane IMO. :)

R129 and W124s are very nice built cars.. I had a 94 E320 that had almost 300k miles and the only problem it had was a leaking head gasket(common problem), didnt ever need work done to it.

Agreed bro. Once my debts are paid I plan to buy another R129. :)

It was love at first sight. Such a joy to ride, comfort, luxury and power all together...

Put new spark plugs and wires in the Taurus. Fun job to pull the plenum and all that. Chilled with some music and cracked it out. Put in some finewire double platinums. Highway MPG is up to 29 with "spirited" driving (this means going 80-85 as you have to if you're in the Detroit area or else you'll get ran off the road). Can't complain. Next up is a new PCV Valve and fuel filter.

the engine is incredible, only outdone by the brakes, which are even better. The only downside is the fuelconsumption

if it makes you feel better I get decent fuel economy on normal driving but at full throttle I go to gallons per mile instead of miles per gallon :bang:

At full tilt I burn just under 80 gallons per hour. That make you feel better? :)
