rottentreats, can you tell me the difference between the Voodoo3 3000 AGP Blue Box and the Vooodoo3 3000 AGP Green box? when i was around 12 or 13, I got a Vooodoo3 3000 Green boxed with TV output, but i haven't seen any other with TV output. Btw, I envy your collection, I would have wished to have such a collection my self ^^
btw, that 6000 above is freakin sweet. Those are rare and pretty valuable. I bet those pushed some amazing frames back in their day! I wonder how the 4x VSA-100 chips on that card stacked up to the Riva TNT 2 when it came to frame rates
Do you guys realize you're posting in a thread from 2005 and that the guy you're speaking to posted a year ago? Edit: Meh, it seems you want to talk to the past even though you'll never get a response. A mod can go ahead and delete this post.
You don't get it Neo, 3dfx threads are timeless. When was 3dfx in business? When was their last card released? Most of these threads are "throwback" threads. Kids in school are talking about sh!t, reading and commenting on way outdated books and newspaper articles about products and events that happened in the world many many years ago. What is wrong with those people??
My point was don't expect a response from someone who's not a regular member and had posted here a year ago.
only card I have left is a voodoo 5 5500pci, had a voodoo 3 2000 16mb but gave that away years ago. Neo if you have nothing of importance to post about in a 3DFX thread stay out of it.
ROFL you'll never guess what I still have a copy of then and for me it was an S3Virge 2MB + 2MB upgrade and 12MB Voodoo II 3.0
Well, let's just say even a V6K doesn't play newer games better. Half-Life 2 was the last thing that it ran "OK" on.. By blue box you must mean the Voodoo3 3500 TV/AGP. The card that comes with the big blue "breakout" cable... A green box Voodoo3 3000 AGP would have an s-video output along side its vga like pictured below
This a funny story. I was looking at google images for something and one of my pictures caught my eye and bought me back to this old ass thread. Small cool update Sold and am selling some duplicates. Fun stuff I thought it would be a shame to not share my Command Center (as I call it) The V56K is stored in another room though, with all the bass produced from my Cerwin-Vega! speakers I don't want to rattle it too much (15's, 12's, 10's and 8's all running together ha) Oh, the pile of boxes under the "so powerful, it's kind of ridiculous" banner are going to be for sale shortly. Click to enlarge! (That's what she said!) Wow those pictures make me look insane. Pretty much accurate
