It's a rolling budget that depends on my monthly paycheck.... I figure if I buy a part or 2 each month..... But let's say $600 overall??

Saw an Intel 320 ssd 120gb model# ssdsa2cw120g3b5 for $170 down from $220 at best buy. Is this a good deal?

Forgot to mention that I have $30 in best buy points which would drop it down to $150 after tax.

    Thoughts??

So I installed the Seasonic 760 on my main rig and the antec 850 has moved to the the Helios rig which is in the living room. I am still undecided as to what mobo, and if I should wait for Ivy Bridge to come out. thoughts??

This would have been the type of build I would have looked at... 4 years ago. e8400 is past its prime. You should be looking at quads by now.

    edit: never mind. necro thread.

So with Ivy Bridge out today, I am looking to do so? Either upgrades.

Intel 3570k paird with the Asus P8-Z77 Pro mobile.

Microcenter has the 3570k for $189 and the Asus mobo for $220, but with a $50 instant rebate.

Looking for 16gb of ram but don't see any good deals on that front microcenter.

    Thoughts?

Finally made the plunge. Just bought the Intel 3570k for $189, the Asus P8 Z77 Pro motherboard for $169, and corsair vengeance (cmz16gx3m4a1600c9b) ram 4x4 = 16gb for $100. Total was $501 including tax.

    Thoughts?

IMO, if you can buy 16gb for $100.00, the days of cheap ram lives on.

It sucks that you can buy things for 180dollar in a microcenter but we have to pay 230 euro for the same thing.
