    TV: LG 42PG6000
    AV Receiver: Pioneer VSX-1017AV-K
    Player: Panasonic DMP-BD30
    Speakers: Tannoy SFX 5.1

Budget setup costing around £1800 with cabling.

Great TV, about the best at the time for the price. The Pioneer is fantastic, very loud, but crisp clean audio. Speakers are ok, I just have to watch the active sub! Shakes me off of the settee!

    What's everyone else running?

TV: Sony Bravia KDL-40W4500 40" 100Hz LCD HDTV

AV Receiver/Digital Decoder: Sony STR-DB900 (Slimline 5.1 receiver)

Speakers: Sony Pascal SA-VE805 (Pretty much the same as SA-VE835, previous version)

    Devices attached:

    Microsoft Xbox 360
    Playstation 3
    Wii
    Media Centre PC (680i, c2d E6320, 2gb RAM, 200Gb HDD, running 7MC)
    Main PC (see sig)
Upscaling Sony DVP-NS92 DVD player (Multi-region)
    Super Nintendo Entertainment System

The system is pretty good, the TV plays well with PCs, except for a very slight sharpening which cannot be turned off. This is the case on all Sony TVs though. Both PCs are connected with HDMI. To the amp both PCs have digital co-ax connections.

I recently got a Sega Mega Drive II as well, I have so far only briefly testedthe unit, and am yet to get any worthwhile games - but am currently overhauling my bedroom, and hope to find space to have it permanantly connected.

I have no idea really how much the total system cost anymore, as I have made the pruchases over time.

    Aah gotta share this one,
    • Samsung F series 46" 1920x1080 Full HD
    • Onkyo TX-N905 THX Ultra 2 II Plus certified / 7.1 / HQV Reon-VX video processing (w/1080p upscaling) / 4x HDMI in / 2x HDMI out.
    • Bose Acoustimass 15 speakers (5.1)
    • HTPC running MediaPortal / Q6600 / 8800 GTS 512 / Vista / 4GB / 128GB solid state routed to NAS in another room (to preserve silence). Housed in the Zalman HD160XT Plus HTPC chassis with touch-screen.
Recently replaced a Plasma Pioneer HD Ready screen with the new Full HD telly mentioned above. I was a Sony QS fan when it came to the AV receiver, yet once you have ahd the Onkyo experience ... you are done and sold. An unbelievable experience.

All sound is connected through optical and HDMI.

Yeah I'm a movie buff / home theatre freak .. and proud of it ;)

    Hey Hilbert,
How does that video processor perform?
I've never used a dedicated video processor yet, however I have been told a couple of times that if you go out and spend the best part of £1k you could end up with much better IQ?
Thanks, and nice setup you have there!

Use it only for SD upscaling and SD video processing (cable and DVD), as HD well is perfect really thanks to the HTPC. But the video processor is really good. It returns a full score out of the HQV test. So yeah it's pretty darn good.

But to be honest, I never watch DVD's anymore, HD all the way :)

Hardly cutting edge but heres mine...

Samsung 19" LCD TV - I know its too small ;) + a Sahara Projector (I get about a 5 foot screen off that)

    Shuttle SD32 - C2D 6300, 3GB RAM, 500GB, 8400GS, Sony BD-ROM, Running Windows 7 7100 x64.

    Audio is a Technics HD-501

Media Server is 2.8Ghz P4 based Shuttle running Windows Server 2003 standard, with 1x160Gb for the OS and 2x 1TB disks for the media.

Got the Wii wired in too

Its not amazing, but it does the job quite well, I'd love a bigger TV though!

Now they have more power at 15-50hz
and the sound are more neutral

Camera phone sorry guys! Had to get the smaller stand due to the size of the corner in the living room! Huge bay window means silly little corners!

Yeah, I have some new stuff incoming tomrrow and friday (Onkyo receiver and a 5.0 speaker setup from Swedish Dynavoice. Floorstanders, center and bookshelf rear speakers). Just need that Popcorn Hour C-200 unit to come in stock to finalize things... man that thing looks ace! Tired of having my laptop on the livingroom table with that fat HDMI cable over the floor going to my Kuro.

Onkyo receivers are excellent, It was a tough choice for me between the Pioneer and the equivalent Onkyo!
