Need for Speed Rivals

Looks absolutely terrible just like HP and MW, at this point i want BlackBox back, The Run atleast had some decent driving in it, nevermind the fact that you had to BRAKE to take a corner and not use some dumbass drifting mechanic.

Also BlackBox games have wheel support and manual gears.

 

Or hard capped at 30fps big pass from me.

The last good Black Box NFS game was Underground 2 even the most wanted that directly preceded that title was meh.

 

Thats purely opinion on most wanted. Underground series sucked in my opinion. Driving was good in 2 but no cops and just feel blah quite quickly in my opinion.

 

It doesn't really matter what the last ''good'' Blackbox game was, point being is that they made the last good NFS game and now we're on the second developer since them and again we have another bad game, if all Ghost is going to do is follow in Criterions footsteps what's the point exactly?

Could have just not ****ed over Blackbox and let them do every other year instead of making an entirely new studio at least then we could have had some decent games instead of Burnout with the NFS badge.

 

Never claimed it to be fact I though it being my opinion was pretty clear different strokes for different folks I personally think the last two Criterion NFS titles were crap and the Shift games are good so it's probably that me and you have differing tastes.


Let's all be honest with ourselves the best NFS was Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2

 

It was the last traditional NFS game and the game i enjoyed the most since then.

Considering the game is capped at 30fps accross all platforms I think those recommended requirements are a little higher than they should be.

 

I just love how most of these system requirements are sorta screwed up and pit intel quad in the same league as the amd dual cores...

 

Yeah, "requirements" may be fakes because Intel 4-core is too faster than AMD 2-core for specs recommended...

Yup, fake because DX 10.1 requires only Vista SP1 or W7 or newer OS.

 

I don't think anyone should read too far into the system requirements, they can be quite off a lot of times. They're mostly only made to get the jist of what you should be packin', when getting the game.


Also at least 30 gigs of free hdd space. Damn the games are getting quite big(Ghosts). I remember my first pc had 80gb hdd, man that feels like a millenia ago.

 

30 fps on the PC is a disgrace in my opinion. I won't be buying this as racing games absolutely need 60 fps for a smooth update and decent impression of speed.

 

We had the same crap with NFS the Run being 30fps as well. WTH!!!!!!! It played fine and never slowed down at 30 but I could tell it was 30.

 

It is crazy now. I thought GTA4 was massive at 16gbs 4 years ago. I have 195gb free on my 1tb game drive. I rememeber have a 40gb and being like, this is pretty good space for an os and 80gb for games. Im still using 80gb for os and I have to constantly keep it clean around 17gb free.

 

Yeah, it was the same for me with GTA IV. Though I think the first really big game was Max Payne. I didn't even notice how the industry jumped from games being around 12 gb standard to around 20 gb. Things get quite sucky, when downloading these games especially, since I have a slower internet connection.

Man CoD Ghosts will probably take a damned week for me to download, if I will actually buy it.
