hi i have a gigabyte gtx 560 ti oc 1g i need fermi 6.01 to change my minimum fan setting to 25 or 30 percent, how can i do that, or perhaps somecould send me a bios, which is the same as the orinial, only the min fan speed is reduced to 25 or 30 if it isn't possible, when will 6.01 be available "to the public?" thx
PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST - SOLVED IT MYSELF... Need some help. I am trying to edit the bios from my GTX 460 in FermiBiosEditor 1.55. I extracted it from GPU-z. The "FAN" tab is no problem. I have that edited and understood. The "VOLTAGE" tab is of no interest to me since I am not going to add voltage. The "PERFORMANCE PROFILE" tab however is a problem. In the P00 profile I have found the shader and mem numbers so I got that covered. But, what are the numbers in the P03 profile? The 4th coloum in the first row has the number 810 and the 6th coloum in the first row has the number 1800 (that is mem speed). But what is the number 810? Hope someone can help!

Thanks Thank you for this guide! I succesfully modded my GV-N460OC-1GI Only difference was, that the gpu-z extracted bios was red integrity, so I saved it with the gigabyte flash tool. And the nvflash dos command didnt work, but simply "nvflash bios.rom" was ok. And I made a bootable usb drive, in dos tried to start the new nvflash, but it said, that runs only in Windows THX!
I'm glad it helped you out . Enjoy your modded GTX460. The command I use is always "NVFLASH BIOS.ROM" (bios is name of the bios I gave it) I always edit the : -Device ID -Sub Vendor ID -Sub System ID -Board ID In "ADV.info" tab of nibitor so I don't need to do a forced flash.

Hello, I recently purchased this video card. The model with one fan. My surprise was that this model is very loud in idle. The fan shows 17% but the noise it makes is like a tsunami. I tried to modify the bios with NiBiTor 6.01 and I have no success. I get the "Cant start driver 1275" error. Even after saving my original bios into a bin/rom file couldn't get some readings from the bios. What I want to do is to modify the fan speed in bios to 10%. Any ideas? Regards. You can not add a file with you rpost , use something like zippyshare. I need more info on your card , Bios version ? see with GPU-Z. What is the stock speed of core/shader/memory. I did some testing with bios of that type of card , NiBiToR gives 30% as min fan speed , this is not correct , I think it is the fan regulator that is not supported correctly. Here is a BIOS version for your card if I'm correct Board: GF106 Board - 10600011 Device ID: 10DE-0DC4 BoardID : 8600 Version: 70.06.0F.00.05 Subvendor : Gigabyt (1458) I modded this bios for your card so the min fan speed is 10%. The first is the original bios for if something goes wrong , file name is GTS450.rom so the command you type in for this bios in NVFash is = NVFASH GTS450.rom The bios name for the modded bios is GTS450FAN.rom So the command is NVFASH GTS450FAN.rom Please let me know how it worked out.

I see the board ID is different , so NO you cannot use them , link is removed. I can mod it but that is up to you . I also gives a error with fermi bios editor , like it's locked. I can change fan levels in NiBiToR but it says 30% min and 100% max and not 17% like you say'd. I think you are better of asking "MKV tech" if you didn't do that already. It's hard to tell if I don't have the gpu here. I can perpare some bios version with the same ID's and clocks but the risk is all yours.
Here is a BIOS for the GTS450 with modded ID's so it will flash on your card. All clocks and voltage are the same , fan min is set to 10% and max 90% Always have a backup of your original BIOS version ready on the same USB. I have a gigabyte gtx 580, and I was wandering to make a bios mod to increase 2d clocks to same as low 3d(as I suspect sometimes in 2d the low clocks cause TDR crashes). Voltages in 2d/low 3d seem the same (setting 0 in nibitor). So can I just copy the values in clock domains straight from 7 to 3 domain and save/flash? also can I increase the two voltages in setting 0 and by how much?

What Gigabyte GTX580 , clocks ? Are you using "performance" setting in NVIDIA cp or "adaptive". You can copy the setting from 2d to 3Dlow , you don't have to change voltage. You can raise the 2d voltage to the setting that you want but I don't see the point , I think is 0.96V for the GTX580 so that is enough for 2d and 3Dlow. The GTX590 got a default 3D performance voltage for 608MHz of 0.92V. It's the same chip. If you plan to do this always have a backup bios ready. It is possible that it won't work , driver not recognizing the card with these settings. The idle temp will go up a little. Keep me posted.
Success! all flashed according to civato's directions, 2d clocks are now the same as low3d- increased, also 2d\low3d voltage I bumped a bit by one increment- it is now 0.967v instead of 0.955v. Also I raised in mainboard bios the pcie voltage and clock a bit - as people said it might help for stability too. Ran heaven benchmark- no issues. Will see if the 2d stability for the long run will be good. BTW, it is a vanilla clocked gtx 580, vga bios also updated to evga rev 03 from rev 01 which the card came with. My power management settings are always set to adaptive. And thanks again civato!
