Anyone know if there's a G1 Gaming version on the way? I can't find any info on it.

Hm, GPUs focusing more and more on 4K. And 4K actually looking like becoming the new standard over the next couple of years (with "gaming monitors" now going the 4K@144Hz way)...

    I think that's very good news for 1440p ;-)

What do you mean? Just that 1440p will run well?

Yeah. If everyone starts focusing on making games run well at 4K, that means that 1440p would run even better. Good times ahead for 1440p monitor owners

Games until now considered 1080p to be the "gold standard", and 1440p always meant a frame rate compromise. If that standard shifts to 4K, then suddenly 1440p becomes the new 900p...

I upgraded from the 1080 because i want that 4K 144Hz G-Sync HDR monitor ASUS/Acer are building. In the mean time I'm enjoying the 100+ fps I'm getting in like everything on my QHD monitor. I haven't overclocked yet, waiting for my EK block. But so far I love it.

What temperature do you get atm?

Or at let's say forced 55-65% fan, is it loud at those %?

It is but not as bad at 4K as one would think. I'm getting 55 while driving and 60 while walking with a few settings toned down. Witcher 3 for example is a no go for 4K@60fps without turning everything down.
