    Greetings Guru3d

I'm new to the site but not to building PC's. My old FX-60 rig is long in the tooth though still kicking. I am looking for feedback on the current build that will replace it.

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1XHb9

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Antec KUHLER H2O 920 110.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Thermal Compound: Xigmatek Freezing Point G4718 4g Thermal Paste
Thermal Compound: Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra Thermal Interface Material
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VI IMPACT Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard
    Memory: Kingston Beast 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card
Case: Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITX Tower Case
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm Fan
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm Fan
Case Fan: Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Fan
Case Fan: Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Fan
Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply

this rig is to last 5+ years just like the FX-60 rig though in a smaller package.
the CPU will be delid and lapped. the cooler will be lapped as well. other than that its a basic build up. Will post pics as parts arrive and are installed. Temps and performance tests will be wrote up as well. expect Stock cooler, ccl, delid/lapped tests as well.

Video card will go under water as well though still reseraching the best solution with what little space I have left in the 130 case.

    Any comments are welcome!

Seems reasonable. I'd maybe use a different CPU cooler myself, but other than that seems up-to-date. FX-60 is one epic processor for its time though.

thanks for the comments, I have a 2nd build in the planning stages as well. This is using a Cooler Master case as well but the Elite 110 version. Even smaller. I'm waiting to purchase the rest of the parts on this and the OP parts on Black Friday. Wish I had waited on the GTX 780 but got happy fingers. may return it for a refund and see how the prices are on BF.

This is ITX build #2. smaller and less expensive yet powerful.

its running but software/driver iss ues with the kuhler 920. waiting to get wifi so i can perform some updates and get it working properly.

vidoe card should arrive this coming week sometime.

then the parts for the 110 should start arriving. im waiting for the kingpin edition from evga if it gets released for the 110 as well. this will be a new thread as im doing a lot to it.

once the 130 partrs arrive and the cooler is working properly ill start benchtests and OC posting results

already im impressed with the boot time on windows 7. under 15 seconds and reboots are even shorter. a huge improvement over the old FX-60 rig.
windows scores are all 7.9's except video. they both at a respectable 6.2

qnix 27" showed up, looks fantastic. 1 dead pixel but other than that its great. its so small when not performing the pixel tests you dont see it.

still waiting on video card. but able to run swtor at a solid 60 fps on low settings.

EVGA GTX 780ti SC with ACX cooler arrived. this thing is huge. I dont have many games out here yet. but AoC max settings is capped at 100 FPS and SWTOR is max settings capped at 60 FPS at 2650x1440.

Windows Experience Index is 7.8 with the CPU and Ram at 7.8 while the rest are 7.9.

Quick bench using evga checks were good, temps at 40 C on the cpu during game play while the gpu is at 70 C. fans at 50-55%. can hear air circulating but thats it. its very quiet. idle temps are 30 C and 45 C.

i havent performed any tweaks yet. everything is still stock settings.

Awesome that you got the Qnix, would be happy if you pop over here with your impressions and questions if you have any.

Thermal Compound: Xigmatek Freezing Point G4718 4g Thermal Paste
    Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Impact

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: Asus GTX 760 DirectCUII
Case: Cooler Master Elite 110 ITX Case
Case Fan: Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Fan
Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply

    Pics coming...

Ran this guy up yesterday. Compared to the Cooler Master Elite 130 Case build everything is the same but the AOI Fan config, CPU cooler, and video card.

SWTOR max settings and video card settings maxed I get a steady 66-70 FPS @ 2560x1440 60Hz on the Qnix Korean IPS. I can do 120Hz but the game isn't seeing it for some reason. Whereas on the EVGA GTX780ti SC SWTOR does do 110 Hz.

I have not taken the lid off the 4770K and still using the Antec KUHLER H2O 920. but the Kraken goes in today with the delid 4770K.

The Asus GTX760 DirectCUII does fit in this case. though I had to install the mobo first then the card. connect all cables before installing the cooler. due to the ram and PSU connections, I can not run push pull fans. just a pusher or puller. currently in push setup but will route the Kraken so its between the front bezle and case front panel with a puller fan inside.

Cooler Master Elite 110 Case temps compared to the Cooler Master Elite 130 are very similar. GPU running 2560x1440 60Hz at 80C and 90% load. CPU is 33-5C idle and 43-45C under load. this is with SWTOR running. I have not ran any benchmarks on this system yet. I'm happy with the performance and size of this rig. The EVGA GTX780ti SC in the Cooler Master Elite 130 the temps are 30-32C idle, 40-42C under load at 2560x1440 110 Hz with the GPU running at 70C. The AIO cooler is in push pull config. Note the radiator fan setup, GPU's and the Cases are the only differences between the builds.

Everything is stock timings. Ram is unstable at 2400 but will adjust timings to get 2400 when I do the CPU and GPU overclocks. Working on cooling first.

Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 benchmarks will be done over the weekend.

power cables all ran up and over the PSU and down or out the back of the PSU and high above the cooling system out of the way. this is to maximize airflow off the radiator.

mobo cables ran under the board for a cleaner install and to stay out of the airflow. PSU mounted fan down to suck warm air off the motherboard and out the back of the PSU.

I'm happy with the build and would do it again, taking more time to make proper bends in the acryllic. Also would go with a narrower rad and get push pull config. there isnt room for a pusher fan between the front of the case and the bezel, unlike the Cooler Master Elite 110 case I have. maybe even 2 rads so the GPU and CPU have their own rads for improved system cooling.

WiFi antenna will run inside the case and out the front under the bezel. there is an opening for the cable out the bottom and since the antenna is magnetic it will be out in the open hidden under the case. the same as the Cooler Master Elite 110. Locating the antenna inside is not desirable due to the case shielding some of the signal. with it mounted on the bottom, its hidden from view and still gets an excellent signal. no wires coming out the back IO panel too.
